Really like the balcony, because (a) Sheppard sharing this private sense-of-wonder place with McKay is sweet, and (b) it's got this metaphorical thing goin' on, if you face this way, you get city skyline. Over here, nothing but ocean and clouds, and all the way over there is the mainland (like the two perspectives in the last fic, different views), and "It’s a long way down, isn’t it," John laughed (risky admissions, fear of falling). The we'll-take-it-slowly ending is also sweet. :-)
