I love this, this *almost* friendship that's sort of there in spite of everything. Jack's hating the lies: for me the stand out thing of "Revelations" (the episode) was Jack's attitude - missing Daniel, but refusing to *mourn* per se because he's gone, not dead. And one of the two Ascended they've met re-took human form... so. Heh.
I like that the man whose whole life - for years - has been special ops which even his wife can't know about, should hate lying. That right there is an indication of the inherent dichotomy of Jack's personality, his complexity.
And the reference to - and effects of - the events of "Abyss" were very powerful. He already hates lying - I can see that being the point when he really can't *do* this any longer; talking about Daniel as if he's *dead*, when he's been having conversations with him. When Daniel's just saved his life and sanity.

I've always liked Bjorn and I love your Jack, so the two of them together here, trying to find a way to survive and go on... it fits. It works. I get such a feeling that in other circumstances they could have been actual friends, you know?
