I think after "Abyss" Daniel is much more alive to Jack, even if he doubted that Daniel was actually, really there.

I like Bjorn and Jack leaning on each other a bit and finding companionship, if not quite friendship, as a result. I can think of times that I've introduced two of my friends to each other and they didn't get along at all, so it's nice that Bjorn and Jack were a better fit.
