Pumpkin ale and a great time!

I went to a Halloween party last night.  It's been a few years since I've done that!  Only one person didn't wear a costume.  We had a Viking husband and wife, Scary Movie guy, a pregnant Goth chick, a French maid, an executioner, a gynecologist (Dr. Philip MacCrevice), Captain Condom, a showgirl with black feathers on her wrists and in her hair, a guy who looked like he'd been in a horrible accident, or been stabbed or something.  The host was kind of miscellaneous - he had a long gray wig and a big hat with a skull emblem on the front and the rest of his outfit was sort of Pilgrim-esque.  Looked very cool, but it wasn't meant to be anything in particular!

And I went dressed as a volunteer at a charity golf tournament.  Because, I once WAS a volunteer at a charity golf tournament, and so all I had to do was put on the khakis and the shirt and hat with logo and I was all set.  I'm not big on Halloween, but I've got a costume for life (although the visor is starting to look pretty misshapen *g*).

Lots of good munchies, and the pumpkin ale was very tasty.  But, since I had a forty minute drive to get home, I left before midnight.  It was sad.  There was plenty of beer left.  *sniffs*

National Quote Your Own Fic Day

Apparently I missed the announcement!  But I hasten to observe the day:

Here's a bit from my Dining "Out" series.  In the third story, Breakfast Is... Jack wants to reveal to Daniel the glory that is a hot, melty peanut butter and bacon sandwich.  Sam and Teal'c find the whole thing terribly, terribly humorous.

Okay, enough fun, back to the heaping helping of angst that is my current story.  :-)
