I went to bed thinking about my SG-1 spook_me fic, and Shapeshifter myths...and woke up at 4:30 a.m. with the hook for my jd_ficathon story! Way to go, muse! 373 words to kick it off to a good start, and now a pause for some research. :-)

Yeah, I might crash in a few hours, but this was the first time in a looooong time that I've been so excited that I simply HAD to get out of bed and rush to the computer. This inspiration is perfect, perfect, perfect. \o/

I'm at 3,500 words but I'm really not sure about ANY OF THEM. Distress signal just sent to PoG for emergency "will this work in the end???" read. *GULP* If not ... there will be panic and flailing.(Like there isn't anyway).

That deadline is waaaay too close for comfort, baby.

Hooray!! That is awesome :) Me: I got my idea, figured out my timeline, have notes and random bits of dialogue scattered through two files, and .... really need to actually start WRITING it. Which isn't to say that the procrastination hasn't actually been good, in a way - had a few ideas the past couple of days which kind of change up the order of events and it would be a bitch if I had to rewrite, rather than just reorganize sections in my notes ;)

Excellent news and excellent muse! I don't know that I would welcome my muse showing up at that early hours just at the moment, but I certainly hope she returns at some point as clearly she is off on some year-long world cruise and has taken all my inspiration with her.
