It's COLD

I had my thermostat set at 67F/19C yesterday evening, and left it there overnight. At 6:30 this morning, the temperature in the house had dropped to 64/18. I guess when it's -6/-21 outside, with windchills greater than -20/-29 and no sunlight, a hundred-year-old furnace just can't keep up!

Big warm up today, thank goodness, she said sarcastically. Going on 1 pm, it's 14/-10, with windchill making it feel like -3/-19.

I see no reason to leave the house. I'm kinda attached to my fingers.

Yesterday morning when I left for work (just after 7:00 a.m.), it was -22 outside. Cold, cold, cold! It was above zero today and it felt like a heatwave. I thought about getting out my shorts.

I hope Jack and Daniel are keeping each other warm. :P

It's a little warmer today. So I need to get out and do stuff before the snow starts flying in ~5 hours!

It doesn't even bare thinking about. We're not supposed to get this kind of crap until January! I'm running out of long underwear.

But it's a good excuse to stay in and read hot J/D fics... right after I take the dog for a walk. At least it's above zero again. Not by much, but I'll take anything.

Thank you, dear! We have had a warmup, so it's still below freezing, but back above zero. I went out and grocery shopped, because of course we have possibly 8 inches of snow coming now.

Snow would be nice here, but not 8 inches and not before December 24th...

14 degrees today, but it feels like 3. We hardly got any snow after all. *whew* Lake effect snow is completely unpredictable. A few miles from here, closer to the lake, there could have been a few more inches, but I lucked out. That reminds me that I need to shovel my front walk yet. A neighbor did the public sidewalk, so I just have to do the bit up to my porch. I will need a hat...
