Taking SG-1 prompts!

I don't expect to get much useful done between now and year-end, so prompt me!

Jack/Daniel is default mode, but I'm down for gen or alternate pairings. You'll receive at least 100 words.

Winter themes, Christmas, New Year's are all seasonally appropriate, but anything goes. Well, maybe not death!fic. This time around. ;-)

LOL!

Daniel knows how to make a detestable holiday more enjoyable!

Awesome! Thank you.

I like Daniel's way of thinking - both the Easter bunny and the chocolate syrup is a great idea. *g*

Oh this is beautiful...such a great exchange of words between the two men...and it's perfectly "them"..and I LOVE how you tie in those quotes from "Abyss" with Jack thinking it but not saying it this time....I'm sure he never thought he'd be crying those out to an Ascended Daniel not that long after this time of biting his tongue...

Absolutely beautifully written...

Thank you...

Loved this.

♥ This is such a theme with them, from The Other Side to Scorched Earth to Red Sky to Abyss. I love they way they both know the other only wants to do the right thing, it's just figuring out how to accomplish it.

Wow. This is amazing stuff. There's a ton of things to unpack from this short, powerful piece but the essence of it is that they work. The two of them. Their road might be rocky but they'll stumble and almost fall together and get to where they have to be together.

This is great. Really.

"I was trying to stop caring."
"Why?" It was a truly foreign concept to Daniel.
"So it wouldn't hurt so much. So I could blame them for my failure to save them."

Yes!

Well done. An appropriately awkward conversation between them, and one I wanted them to have. They get stuck in their own heads too much, and that's still happening a bit at the end.

David's doing fine; I'm providing plenty of TLC. ;-) We never got going in the final. But the team's smiles when they got their medals made up for the disappointment ... *happy sigh*

We won four medals - our best total since 1920-something. Not bad for a tiny island with very little snow. *g*

Oooh, nice. And an excellent twist there, towards the end.

You have got to write more gen. You're so good at it! :)

You know me well enough by now to know that I really can't help it. Apparently. *g*

That was a pretty poor display by the hockey team, wasn't it? Man up, guys, it's still a bronze. Most people would be chuffed to come away with any sort of medal.

"Knock, knock," Jack said.
Pressing his lips together, Daniel motioned him inside.

Already these first sentences are so them! I love how their conversations unfolds, and how they both have valid points on their side, but nevertheless they listen to the arguments of the other - that's more what most people do.

So I think that not only Daniel is special - but Daniel could say the same about Jack. *g*

Very, very nice!
