My new account has been created!

Thanks to everyone who voted in the LJ and DW polls. alsosid came out ahead by a small margin. And I've realized that I can use the names that were suggested in comments for my journal's subtitle, and change that as often as I like. There were a lot of fun and awesome suggestions. :-)

The account is just bare bones at this time, but please do subscribe! It won't all be about homeowner woes, although that will be an early focus. We'll see how it takes shape, but I anticipate including family stuff, recipes, memes, anything that involves me actually getting out of the hosue to have some fun. I don't think there will be any locked content, so I'm not planning to mutually subscribe or grant access at this point in time. I'm not looking for a third friends list/reading page!

My crockpot was an extra that my sister-in-law had. I'm still learning how to use it, but when I get it right, things are delicious!

Yep. Crock pot / slow cookers. There's a community on LJ that I visit called What A Crock. I've forgotten the html tags to make it all pretty for you, but here's a bald link to it.

They've got recipes and can answer questions. It's a tagged community which I really like.

I actually have a lovely new storm door! The door behind it doesn't look as good, but it's not the original.

The entire porch needs to be replaced, on the other hand.
