Weird Day
My plan for the day was to get up at a reasonable hour, and start writing Part Four of my How It All Began series. So I went to bed at the extremely reasonable hour of 11 pm last night.
But, unfortunately, I woke up with tummy problems around 2 am. So, I stayed up, drinking Diet 7-Up, and doing TMI-type things. I collapsed back into bed at 8 am.
Around 10 am I started drifting foggily out of blessed slumber, due to the loud voices I could hear outside the house. And thunking noises. I tried to tell myself that it was at one of the neighbor's houses, but I slowly woke up just enough to decide that I really should check to see if somebody was breaking in, etc.
I looked out of the window, and saw a utility company truck, and 3 guys digging alongside the house. So I threw on some clothes and went down to find out what was going on. Turns out somebody had reported that we had some exposed wires due to a conduit pipe that had come loose, or something. And they were fixing that.
Probably my brother knew all about this, but the word never trickled down to me. ANYWAY, I was so dazed and confused from lack of sleep that I decided to open an LJ account.
Just wanted to clear that up. :-)

ETA: Yep, nobody told me about the maintenance, because nobody thought they would get to it this quickly, LOL!
