Depressing Season Six Jack drabble, G

Behind the cut so you don't have to depress yourselves...

BRINK

It was dark by the time Jack finished his grocery run. He started unloading the bags onto the kitchen table. Potato chips for tomorrow night’s poker game, and, yes, Andy, I did remember the dip this time. Meat, beer, and soft drinks for Saturday’s team barbecue. Carter was in charge of baked beans, potato salad and brownies. Homemade beat the deli stuff every time. Teal’c was bringing buns, condiments, fruit and ice cream. And, for the first time, Jonas. 

Food properly stored, Jack checked the doors and windows, turned out the lights, crawled into bed and cried himself to sleep.

"leftover brownies" refers to the second batch of brownies you made at the same time as the first and stuck in the back of the refrigerator, so no one else found them.
