Yeah, this is a little dark.

 

FORFEIT

Learning to treat men like nameless, faceless lumps of meat hadn’t come easily to Daniel. He’d longed to offer a little more friendliness, a little more humanity. But he’d done it enough times that it had become second nature by now. He imagined that he had a definite reputation in the Springs clubs and bars. When you let yourself get picked up by Daniel Jackson, you got bent over the arm of his couch for a slow, hard fuck and then you got shown the door.

 

But when one door closes, another one opens, as the saying goes.

 

And behind that door, watching on closed circuit television, was Jack, getting a hard-on the only way he could.

 

Dysfunctional didn’t even begin to describe what the two of them were.

 

Iraq, and the things that had been done to him there, had changed Jack forever. Now he could only watch as Daniel gave other men the one thing that Jack couldn’t accept, no matter how much he would have enjoyed it at an earlier point in his life, no matter how much he might still crave it.

 

Jack had been made dysfunctional through brute force and psychological torture.

 

Daniel, through love.

I love this idea and the exploration of what may have happened in Jack's past (and with Ba'al), even though it hurts. I love dark and damaged Jack.
