If you don't know or care about the scene that was cut from the SGA episode Trio, then you don't need to read this.  It was cut, so it ain't canon.  

But for me, just knowing that it exists out there in some form calls for: 

REBUTTAL

“So.”

 

“So?”

 

“Apparently, according to Walter, he heard from Sheppard that McKay told him that Sam was telling people that the two of you have a thing going on. You’re going to retire, yadda yadda yadda.”

 

“Crap.”

 

“Yeah.”

 

“You’re pissed, aren’t you?”

 

“No. No, no. You know how much I love Sam.”

 

“Yeah. The problem is that I love her, too, and she knows it.”

 

“Yeah. She knows it. She just doesn’t get it.”

 

“Why didn’t she marry Shanahan?”

 

“We know why.”

 

“Yeah. Just… why?”

 

“Because that would make our lives too easy?”

 

“I wish.” Jack held Daniel more tightly.

Yes, very vague. And, yes, why would Sam even bother to say anything about it? Just because that silly game got her and Keller talking?

I'm sure Mallozzi gets his kicks from stirring things up. *shakes head sadly*

Let's just hope it's the last we ever hear of it. *crosses fingers*

If they were going to do 'it' (make S/J irrevocably canon, shudder) I'd have more respect for them if they just had Sam come out and say it. "I'm in a relationship with my CO of eight years." And let the chips fall where they will.

Hm, well, maybe not, the gossip would be brutal.

Let's stick with them cutting that scene all together. Not canon works best for me (and for Sam's dignity)
