JACK/DANIEL BABY-A-THON (no infants allowed)

Brought to you by [livejournal.com profile] jd_junkie and [livejournal.com profile] sidlj.

It’s time for some commentficcing to offset any post-holiday blues! We'll be running this through Monday, January 19th. There's a supplemental post here for questions and general squeeing.

This is more-or-less how it will work:

You (yes, you, specifically) will write a commentfic or a drabble and post it here as a new comment to the original post. Put a title in the header, if you have one, and maybe a rating or warnings if you think necessary. Crack, porn, romance, sad, silly, dark – however the muse moves you.

THE ONE-AND-ONLY PROMPT: Jack calls Daniel “baby”, or vice-versa. Or both. Because some of us melt and squee and flail when we find that in a fic. And we are not ashamed! We embrace our “baby” kink. We celebrate it.

Let’s wallow, baby!

Name Calling

[identity profile] sg1danny.livejournal.com 2009-01-10 07:56 pm (UTC)(link)
"Sweetie?"

"Absolutely not!"

"Ok. Honeybun?"

"No."

"Sweetcheeks?"

"..."

"That's another no then. Lover?"

"Allowable."

"Baby?"

"..."

"Daniel?"

"..."

"Danmmmmmph."

As Jack was pushed down on to the couch by Daniel he decided he'd be calling him 'Baby' a lot.

I keep trying to come up with another Distractions story, but nothing's coming to mind. Must continue to think on it.

Father Figure Jack/Daniel NC17

[identity profile] janedavitt.livejournal.com 2009-01-11 04:00 am (UTC)(link)
Warning: spanking/Daddy!kink

Daniel freezes at the worst moment possible, going rigid, unmoving, and Jack panics. Too much? Too hard? Daniel's begged for this for weeks (which in Daniel's case means he's argued his position with a flood of words and at least three citations of articles Jack's never going to read, not ever, because what kind of freak writes about someone wanting to get their ass spanked without ever sounding even a little bit turned on?) but maybe Jack should have kept saying 'no fucking way'?

His hand hovers, irresolute, over the blotched red pattern he's made on Daniel's pale skin and he hates himself for being hard, for the plans he's got -- had -- for fucking Daniel afterward, sinking slowly, so fucking slowly inside Daniel's mouth, that's been babbling out oh and yes and Jack! and then his ass, splitting those red cheeks wide and oh, he can make Daniel whimper with more than his hand, yes, he can...

"Why did you stop?" Daniel says through clenched teeth, his body rigid. "Why did you -- oh, God, I'm coming -- shit, one more, please, one --"

Jack blinks, applies a single hard, smart slap and feels Daniel shudder, crying out, coming for him, just as Jack had wanted him to.

"That's it, baby," he murmurs, stroking the hot, rough skin tenderly as Daniel pants and shivers, feverish, exultant, forgiving. "That's it."

Baby? Did he just -- Fuck, Daniel's gonna rip him a new one for that --

Daniel turns abruptly and curls close, his arms tight around Jack's body, holding on, his face smoothed out,all tension gone, content.

He strokes the sweat-damp hair and murmurs it again. Daniel's lips part on a sigh and Jack pushes his fingers inside that wet heat and feels his cock jerk, jealous, impatient, as Daniel licks and sucks, fervent and eager.

Beautiful Baby

[identity profile] helenkacan.livejournal.com 2009-01-11 05:25 am (UTC)(link)
The fire is flickering, more illusion than substance, when Jack walks out of the bathroom, towelling off his wet hair. But he's not cold – not when his gaze stutters and is transfixed by the pale beauty of Daniel lying face down on the rug.

Daniel's limbs are loose, languid. No wonder, as Daniel was the first to arrive and managed to ease away the tension of yet another week from hell, courtesy of planet M-whatever-the-fuck its official designation is. At least he had the courtesy to leave some hot water for Jack.

Jack wanders over, bare feet slapping lightly on the floor. He keeps staring, afraid to break the trance he appears to be in. Daniel's body ... his body gleams in the firelight. Jack doesn't know how Daniel gets away with it. No matter how dirty or bruised Daniel is when he manages to throw himself (when he's lucky, and dragged unconscious when he's not) back through the safety of the Stargate, those pale globes are perfect. Jack thinks about his own scarred butt and snorts. His own might not be like a work of art, but he's the only one who is allowed to appreciate the vision laid out before him.

And so he does, dropping with a bitten-off grunt onto battle-weary knees. The position is appropriate, as he worships at Daniel's body. But not that Daniel is exactly aware of that. Still, occasionally, Jack does let an endearment slip as he fondles the warm, smooth cheeks with both palms.

Daniel rouses, lashes fluttering in confusion. “J'ck?”

“Yeah. Just ... I just want to....” Jack's hands glide in firm, deliberate circles, as his voice gives out.

Daniel arches his back and settles back, cradling his head on his arms. He's not stupid. It's not the first time he's arranged himself on the rug and waited for Jack. Even when they're both too tired to fuck, he makes a point of giving himself to Jack with this unmistakable invitation. Even when the only payoff will be a caress, flesh on flesh, before exhaustion forces them both to bed. To well-deserved sleep.

But tonight is not quite as tiring. Jack's not passing up the opportunity to touch and feel. Danny's butt is as smooth as a baby's. Without realizing it, he voices the comparison. “You must've been a beautiful baby, lying stark naked on the couch, examining everything with those eyes, wondering how and why and even when.”

Daniel squirms with discomfort. “Jaaaaack,” his voice holds a shadow of warning. His childhood is not something he likes to think about, not even the precious baby years.

Jack doesn't torment him, but leans over to lay his cheek against that part of Daniel that he finds so perfect. As Daniel relaxes once again, Jack thinks to himself, no matter, Danny, you'll always be my beautiful baby.

Re: Beautiful Baby

[identity profile] helenkacan.livejournal.com 2009-01-11 05:54 am (UTC)(link)
Oh, thank you. I'm fond of the image, myself. Dying fire, rug, nekkid Daniel with nekkid Jack arriving onto the scene. And, please, blame [livejournal.com profile] janedavitt (hee - I blame her entirely for getting me into the Stargate fandom at all) as I read her spankingfic and decided on a more innocent version.

Thank you, also, for easing our withdrawal symptoms this weekend. I'll survive, in my own delusional way, with my fixed McShep goggles firmly in place.

Eek - post midnight hugs,

Daniel should be bereft of clothing as much as possible. Especially in front of a fire.

And ::giggles:: I thought of following up with a bit of innocence to counter your naughtiness!

As for the tiredly loving, I think the epsom salts must've seeped into the ficlet.

Always hugs for you,

No, no, no, you don't have to be good.
It's much more fun being naughty and ... imagining.

Thank you for the Awww and Mmmm; now I feel all warm and fuzzy myself, even though there's no fire ... or Daniel ... or Jack. ::sighs::

And - yes - I was trying to capture the loving feel without being overtly sexual. Because there are SO many ways to interpret what baby means between two people.

Really nice imagery! And I liked how it wasn't always just about sex for them- makes it all so much more intimate :)

Re: Beautiful Baby

[identity profile] helenkacan.livejournal.com 2009-01-13 07:49 am (UTC)(link)
Oh, thank you.
::blushes::

Actually, I was going for a snapshot taken at a certain fixed point but in which you could tell many different things had happened between them, including sex and hurt and hope - even though I only said fuck once, as far as sex is concerned. But it was the ongoing willingness of both men to try for each other's sake that was the most important thing in my mind.

And, in a weird way, I didn't write this fic: they showed it to me.

I'm so happy you enjoyed it and that you also saw them the way I intended.

Lovely ficlet. And ...

To well-deserved sleep.

... so much love for that paragraph!

Re: Beautiful Baby

[identity profile] helenkacan.livejournal.com 2009-01-13 10:54 pm (UTC)(link)
Ohhh - thank you. I'm thrilled that you liked my ficlet and even loved parts of it. [Hey, ficlet, take a bow: you've done me proud!]

Anyway, I'm a great believer in lovers demonstrating intent and willingness (rather than a more selfish design). And, in my mind, even as Daniel does this more than once, nobody should ever mistake him for being weak.

Personally, I'm overjoyed that particular paragraph worked, despite the fact that it included a word (fuck) that is usually more at home in a tougher role.

Thank you again.

This Deliverance

[identity profile] stagnation13.livejournal.com 2009-01-11 09:15 am (UTC)(link)
Daniel stared at Jack, not wanting him to go back to DC. Sure he was grateful Jack had shown up to SGC as soon as he heard his archeologist was injured on PX-some-damn-place, but Daniel wasn't ready for him to go back. Even worse, Daniel didn't know how to tell Jack to stay.

"Daniel?" Jack asked. Why he sounded hopeful Daniel couldn't fathom. Daniel couldn't fathom anything past his own misery and his inability to tell the man he loved to stay. Physically he hurt. A staff weapon to the leg was nothing to shout about. Mentally he felt like he did when his parents died.

Abandoned.

Daniel never thought he would associate that word with Jack, but it had been stuck in his mind ever since Jack packed up the house and left, leaving Daniel feeling like an orphan all over again. Even with promises of waiting, that orphaned little boy was perched on the grown up Daniel Jackson's shoulder, whispering, "Again, again you have been left behind by someone who loves you."

The walls were coming up around Daniel, those self protecting walls he used when he didn't want to hurt anymore. Once the walls were up, he wouldn't be able to say what he needed to say.

"Daniel."

His mind said it. No. NO. Please, don't go. His mouth wouldn't follow along. His mouth was having no part in this...this pathetic madness. Just let him go, the orphan perched on his shoulder whispered into his ear.

FUCK THAT, something inside Daniel screamed. Screamed so loudly Daniel visibly flinched.

"Jack. Jack?" It was barely a whisper. A begging.

A warm finger under his chin made him look at Jack, and that was it. Gravity kicked in and the tears that had threatened to fall, fell.

"Jack. Please don't leave me," Daniel begged just as quietly. "Please." He then bowed his head, waiting for his deliverance.

None came. Or, if it did, it was in the strong, solid arms of Jack, wrapping around him gently, holding him tightly, securely. Like the body attached wasn't leaving, wasn't letting go.

"Jack, please..." Daniel sobbed helplessly, prepared to beg if he had to, anything to stop this abandonment.

"Shhh," Jack said, rocking him slowly, tucking Daniel's face against his neck. "It's okay, baby. I'm not leaving you." he said gently, pressing a kiss onto Daniel's temple. "I am here until you are better, then we figure out what we're gonna do. I don't want to be away from you any longer, I can't. I can't do it anymore."

Daniel heard Jack's gentle murmurings as he was rocked securely in his arms. Among his sobs Daniel admitted to the same thing: he couldn't do it anymore, either. He couldn't handle being abandoned again, he couldn't stand to be away from the strong arms that held him close and safe, he couldn't stand to be away from the man who loved him and who was his home.

Daniel felt his head being lifted and his tear-filled eyes lighted on Jack's tear covered face.

"I'm yours," Jack said, kissing Daniel. "I retired before I left. Paperwork's all done."

"You...you...really?"

Jack smiled, giving each of Daniel's swollen eyes a feather light kiss. "The Air Force has had me long enough. It's your turn."

Daniel didn't know what to say. His mouth was on hiatus again. His mind was screaming for joy, yet his mouth wasn't willing to play along. Regardless.

Happy and content, he wrapped his arms around Jack, his home. Finally. His home was going to stay.

The little orphan boy on his shoulder fled away.

I used the same idea in a larger j/d fic I am working on, and it just hit me upside the head. Daniel's been "left" many times, and with Jack up and leaving for DC, it had the same effect because Daniel's homeless yet again. His relationship with Jack (in my mind) is twofold...sure they love one another, but other than love Jack gave Daniel a "real" home.

I could go on forever on that thread. Thanks for noticing. And HELLS yes, should have been the same damn way on the show! *waves and bounces because ur back*

[identity profile] magnavox-23.livejournal.com 2009-01-11 09:17 am (UTC)(link)
Daniel didn’t call him ‘baby’ in bed.

He didn’t call him baby when they cuddled on the couch or when they fucked against the front door.

Daniel called him baby on Jack’s back porch in front of their team... and General Hammond.

“Grab the Clos Du Val, baby.”

Jack should have replied with a snarky ‘Sure thing sweetheart’ or ‘Good thinkin’ sugar’, thrown in a wink for good measure. Run off and let Daniel deal with the mess he’d just gotten them himself into.

He should have cared about the reactions from his team, from his C.O.

Instead he gave Daniel a warm smile. “Sure” he replied softly before stepping inside to grab the chardonnay. They had some ‘splainin’ to do…

Too Good to be True - (J/D, rating: PG for language)

[identity profile] tejas.livejournal.com 2009-01-11 09:59 am (UTC)(link)
Jack sings.

Let me rephrase that.

Jack tries to sing. He can't but it doesn't stop him. To his credit, he knows he doesn't have the voice for it, so he rarely inflicts his predilection for butchering popular music on the public. But when things are going well, he'll sing in the shower, or along with the radio or just puttering around his place.

How do I know this?

Since we got together, I've been in the somewhat unfortunate position to overhear him. In a way, it's nice since it means I'm so deeply into his life that he doesn't think of me as someone he has to hide his shame secrets from.

On the other hand, it means I have to hear him sing.

No one has ever said being in love was easy.

See, there's another time he likes to sing and I just don't have the heart to try to dissuade him.

He likes to sing to me in bed.

Granted, he usually picks the times when I'm feeling stupid in love and coming down off an orgasmic high to beat all orgasmic highs. Face it, everyone says and does stupid stuff then. 21st century American social mores dictate that there are simply things we don't discuss in polite company and intimate sexual details are high on the list. A long time ago, I figured out it was mainly so no one would be put into the position of confessing to the sappy, syrupy crap said in the afterglow.

Not that I would ever say anything sappy.

Well, not too sappy.

Interestingly enough, "sappy", in the sense of "foolishly sentimental" has been in use since 1670. It came from the Old English word meaning "full of sap" indicating a young tree. What's interesting is that there may have been an intermediate meaning of "wet and sodden", which brings us right back to post-coital couple-bonding.

Well, I thought it was interesting.

But back to Jack.

Last night was one of those nights. As neither of us are exactly teenagers any more, it's gotten easier to hold out, which means, we can each top and bottom in the same night. We just need to have the time. Not to mention the energy (see "teenager, not exactly" comment above). We'd done the 100 yard Jaffa relay to the gate earlier in the day and that was after being on the go for 10 hours. I'm surprised we made it off base. Still, it was, as sex generally is with Jack, phenomenal and, while those details need not be elaborated on here, what happened after needs to be recorded.

We were lying in bed, sheets tangled with our legs, sweat cooling on our skin, exchanging barely there touches and feather light kisses, bodies still humming with sexual release when he started.

I love you baby
and if it's quite all right,
I need you baby
to warm the lonely night.
I love you baby,
trust in me and I'll say,
Oh, pretty baby...

Well, you get the idea. Franki Valli, Jack's not. Still, at the time, I was in that stupid, just fucked state that turns Jack's voice into a combination of Sinatra's, Nat King Cole's and Beverly Sills'. (Yes, I know, they're all dead. I don't have time for libel suits.) Ordinarily, I would have accepted the sentiment and tried to ignore his inability to carry a tune in a bucket. But this was one chorus too far.

I might have gotten a touch angry.

He called me pretty! I couldn't believe it! I came this close to dumping him out of bed. Of all the insulting things he has ever said to me, this takes the cake. Men are not pretty, no matter what the general's secretary, Marge in the mess hall and half the motor pool seem to think. (Which reminds me, note to self: find a way to have a talk with Sergeant Wilson - he's not taking 'oblivious Jackson' for an answer. That's always worked so well in the past, too.)

I AM NOT PRETTY! Jack's going to pay for that one. He spent a good ten minutes trying to apologize, but we ended up falling asleep before he finished. Many wonderful things in the universe are pretty, but I'm not. I probably shouldn't get this worked up over it, but I do have my pride.

Wait.

You thought.

Oh.

Really?

Why would I object to him calling me baby? I may have my pride, and I may have just been fucked stupid, but I'm not crazy.

I'd ask him if he knew "Be My Baby", but I don't want to encourage him.

He gets sex with Jack.

I think he's got his priorities right on target. ;-);-) He would have gone into detail on why men being called "pretty" is insulting (social conditioning being what it is), but I think he was heading off to make Jack grovel for a bit. He kinda likes Jack on his knees, after all. ;-)

But of course. "Pretty" when used as a synonym for "considerable" is perfectly acceptable and doesn't carry any gender specific connotations. "Pretty" when used to denote "pleasing to the eye" is an entirely different story.

(This always happens when I write Daniel. :-)

You Called Me Baby?

[identity profile] sg-wonderland.livejournal.com 2009-01-11 01:38 pm (UTC)(link)
His hair lies like a silken waterfall on his pillow. One of the things I've asked him to do-now that the Air Force no longer owns both our asses-was to let his hair grow back out. He grumbled and bitched and threatened but it now swings to his shoulders, shiny and sleek when he blows it dry, springy and curly apres-shower.

I kneel and stroke the length, watch it tumble through my fingers. "Baby." I whisper softly.

His body stiffens. Oops, I thought he was still asleep. "Baby? You called me Baby?"

"Uh..um..I might have." My hand is still buried in his hair.

"You called me Baby?" He jerks up, his hair flying around his face in anger, his voice spiraling upward. "I'm not a beagle, you know."

I am saved from answering by the sound of four eager paws skttering across the bedroom floor, launching themselves onto the bed. I transfer my stroking to the dog. "Hey, Baby." I gently pull his ear through one hand before reaching over to do the same with Daniel's hair. "Hmm."

He jerks the sheet up to his chin, pulling away from my questing hand. "You're comparing my hair to the dog's ear."

"They're both soft and silky and fun to touch. So, yeah, I guess I am."

He flops down, pulls the covers over his head and mutters, "Don't call me Baby!"

Not Just For Porno Anymore

[identity profile] muck-a-luck.livejournal.com 2009-01-11 01:40 pm (UTC)(link)
"Come on, I know you can do it, babe," Jack breathed, watching Daniel's mouth, his skillfully moving fingers, the intense, inward focus of Daniel's gaze.

Daniel startled and froze. His head turned and he blinked twice at Jack.

"Babe?" he squeaked.

Damn.

"What?" Jack replied, as if confused.

"You just called me 'Babe!'" Daniel nearly shouted, leaping up and pointing at Jack. "You whispered it in my ear!"

Jack stood too, making placating gestures with his hands, barely restraining himself from shushing him.

"Come on, Daniel," he said, wincing a little at the echo of his earlier encouragement, "We need to do this fast." Jack waved to the panel. "Sam and Teal'c will be through theirs in no time. I know you can beat them."

He had money riding on this damned scavenger hunt, dammit. Though it was his own damned fault for letting himself have fantasies about Daniel's mouth and fingers instead of being focused on the task at hand.

"You heard him!" Daniel hissed to their impartial observer, one Paul Davis.

Oh, Jack had his suspicions about that guy. Sure enough…

"I did," Davis agreed, in a sort of half-smug, half-arch tone that brought Daniel's wild eyes right back to Jack.

Damn.

"All these years! All my second guessing my own motives - being careful not to misinterpret – project – whatever, and you're sitting over there thinking – calling me –" Daniel faded away into incoherent stammering, possibly in another language.

Wow. Daniel never did that.

"I think I'll just step away, gentlemen," Davis muttered, sidling away down the corridor.

Coward. Smart coward, though.

"We're conceding," Daniel called after him, hot, furious glare sending really inappropriate messages to Jack's crotch.

"Like hell we are!" Jack protested vehemently. A lot of money. (Jack had a lot of faith in Daniel.)

But Daniel was moving now, covering the distance he'd put between them, until he was in Jack's personal space. Jack refused to back down, so they were chest to chest, cheek to cheek, groin to groin!, in the middle of Green Corridor 19.

Daniel put his mouth against him.

"We are going topside, baby," Daniel murmured, hot, moist breath washing over Jack's ear. "You're gonna take me a couple of mountains over in that overcompensating manhood expression of a truck of yours. You're gonna park it off that pretty little dirt road where you like to take me to 'look at the stars,' babe, and you are gonna fuck me 'til I pass out. Come on, babe. I know you can do it."

Jack thought maybe before they did that, Daniel was going to have to hold him up, because his knees had just turned to Carvel ice cream.

"And if you can manage that," Daniel continued, "I might let you live the whole 'babe' comment down," Daniel finished, stepping back. His eyes were slitted dangerously. Oh. He was pissed.

Well, maybe Daniel thought Jack would back down from a dare like that…

"You're on, babe," Jack replied, grabbing Daniel by the arm and spinning him toward the elevator just around the corner. The airman stepping through the open doors said, "Which floor, sir?" as Jack brushed past him, pulling a shocked, newly-startled, and blinking Daniel behind him.

"Oh, we're going all the way," Jack growled.

The airman only went up two levels.

As the door slipped closed behind him, Jack muscled Daniel back against the rear wall.

He leaned in and whispered, "I have no intention of living it down, babe."

Sign Language

[identity profile] 01100100.livejournal.com 2009-01-11 02:48 pm (UTC)(link)
Hello, cruising in via the f-list :)

Sign Language

It's a crapfest of a mission, though Sam won't admit it. Not while Teal'c is standing there looking all statuesque in the middle of these ruins. She can pretend to look interested in these rocks as much any other... pretender type... God this is boring.

Sam sighs and turns back to see the Colonel and Daniel. They're at it again, communicating through hands and eyebrows.

Daniel's hands say, "But, Jack, we could find something important!"

The Colonel's eyebrows narrow into, "You said that an hour ago, when my feet didn't hurt and the crick in my neck was missing."

Daniel throws his hands up in, "Typical military shit."

The Colonel's eyebrows lift in, "Okay, someone's apparently swimming in caffeine for breakfast these days."

Daniel's hands come up, imploring rather beautifully Sam has to admit to herself. "Jack, please, I need more time."

The Colonel's eyebrows are unmoving over rolling eyes before they're weighed down by a frown. "Another hour and we're finished."

Daniel's hands fall by his side in, "Thank you."

Then the Colonel seems to stop speaking with his eyebrows. Sam frowns, smiling when she notices how the Colonel's eyes seem to go soft, his mouth pulled at by a fond smile. Guy's a soft touch underneath it all.

Daniel seems to slump under the gaze, tilting his head a little and squinting. He's embarrassed, Sam thinks. Something about the way the Colonel is looking at him is... making him blush.

Daniel gives the Colonel a nod, his eyes flicking to the left in the minutest of motions. He's saying something. What is it? Later. Or, not now. It's some kind of promise for sure. Something that's meant to be secret.

The Colonel steps in close, all business as usual, both hands on P90, military posture. Sam sees his mouth open. The Colonel says something, quiet, way too quiet for her to catch it. Though she sees the last two syllables, mimicking them over and over.

What the hell's a be-be?

She's still frowning when Daniel's head snaps up and he's staring at Jack, caught off guard. He gives a slow nod, all the lines and worries fallen from his face. The Colonel nods back, giving him an affectionate pat on the back before leaving Daniel staring at the back of his head.

"Major Carter," Teal'c says, snapping Sam out of her trance. "Is something wrong?"

Sam watches as the Colonel sits down on a centuries old rock. Trust him to place his butt on the head of a dead king.

"Nothing," Sam says, eyeing Daniel who is back to reading the script on a wall, a soft absent-minded smile on his face. She turns to Teal'c and smiles. "Except for the fact that it's been a while since I beat you at poker."

Teal'c nods, a proud smile on his face. "Indeed. And I fear you may never have the opportunity again."

"Strong words, my friend," Sam says with a nod. But she makes a point to suggest playing with matches and not money next time.

Snow, baby.

[identity profile] mornincamper.livejournal.com 2009-01-11 04:26 pm (UTC)(link)
"Oh, for cryin' out loud!"

Daniel woke abruptly to the sound of the front hall closet aggressively opened & shut. Stumbling from "his" bed, (well, he liked to think of it as his since as far as he knew he was the only sometimes denizen of Jack's spare room) he emerged into a flurry of boots, hats & an irritable Jack preparing for an apparent trip up Mt. Everest.

"Jack?"

"Daniel." Garumphing his double socked feet into the heavy boots. Jack glanced up, scowling. "You should be back in bed. Sorry I woke you."

"'S'Ok." mumbled the sleepy archaeologist. Shuffling to the window, Daniel looked out on another Colorado wake up call. Looked like a solid 4 feet of snow had fallen just since midnight, when they had finally returned to Jack's from another mission- & another trip to the infirmary. "Give me a minute and I'll..."

"Are you serious?" Jack smirked at him, taking in the rumpled appearance and waved his hand about, indicating the sling (again) in place on Daniel's arm. "If I so much as let you hoist a snowball, Frasier'll have my *ass* in a sling!"

Daniel hated feeling useless, but grudgingly had to admit that Jack was right. Momentarily put off by the mental image Jack's comment had supplied, Daniel gestured over his shoulder with a thumb, quickly backing toward the kitchen. "I'll just go put on some coffee, then."

"Aht." Jack raised his 'don't argue' finger. "No, Daniel, you'll just go back to bed and sleep off the meds you finally took last night. This is just a "Colorado flurry" and I am an Air Force Colonel and equal to the task of moving a little snow." Jack drew himself up to his full height, puffed out his chest & raised his eyebrows for good measure.

Daniel snorted at his antics and caved. "All right, *Colonel*. But don't strain anything Janet might need to sling you for."

As quiet enveloped the house, Daniel was suddenly overwhelmed with the effects of the medication. Unwilling to wander back to the spare room, he gratefully sank into the deep cushions of the end chair, in view of the door, and drifted back to sleep.

Re: Snow, baby. part2

[identity profile] mornincamper.livejournal.com 2009-01-11 04:27 pm (UTC)(link)
Jack returned nearly an hour later, stomping feet and stripping layers off as fast as possible, unaware that Daniel hadn't returned to his room. Awakened by the sudden activity, Daniel's eyes shot open to the view of Jack bent over, wrestling with his boots and shucking another layer. Jack turned as he wrangled his way out of his sweatshirt and spied Daniel, who was looking in his direction -blinking & openmouthed.

Daniel's sleep fogged brain took in Jack, divested of jackets, sweatshirt and shoes. Face flushed and hair mussed in five directions. A band of sweat on his t-shirt collar led Daniel's eyes south to Jack's biceps, still tense & looking all - he mentally flailed - muscle-y from the winter workout...and stood quickly, startled by his own reaction. Losing his blanket, and nearly his balance, he grasped for the former & windmilled for the latter. Jack swooped forward to steady him, and didn't miss the straining at the front of Daniel's shorts. "Whoa there, Danny, you'll wind up back in the infirmary." Jack grabbed him by the arm & supported his back with his other hand, adding further tension to the muscles in his shoulders and arms. Daniel flung a hand out for support landing it squarely on a solid bicep, and as his internal self-editor was currently still asleep said *exactly* what his brain did...

"Oh...baby." This came out less like an endearment, and more like a growl-which made sense, because as heartfelt as his affection was for Jack, this reaction had a lot less to do with his heart than other parts of his anatomy.

Daniel, balance restored and eyes now wide awake, still clung to Jack's arm...apparently transfixed by the play of muscle beneath his hand. He looked up at Jack, and all the air seemed to exit the room. Daniel stared at Jack. Jack stared back. Nobody moved - till everybody was moving and suddenly Daniel found himself faced front, with Jack's arms supporting him gently, restrained tension evident in the muscles of his neck.

"Daniel," Jack breathed evenly, "are you implying you see something you like here?" Jack's steady gaze belied his teasing tone. If this was finally *that* moment...the one he tried very very hard not to wonder about and never ever to long for, he was ready.

Daniel couldn't believe he'd just put it out there. He swallowed his surprise, because hell, if Jack was asking..well, he was definitely, finally, telling.

Except, and this might just be a first, words completely failed him. Thinking to himself that communication was so much more than language, he looked steadily at Jack, slid his hands all the way up those arms, till they rested, gently, but firmly on either side of Jack's neck. His thumbs briefly traced a pattern on Jack's jaw, eliciting a small sound and a hitched breath. Then Daniel was pulling him forward and kissing him. Not feather light, not aggressive, but with intention.

Breaking the kiss without moving away, Jack breathed in the scent of Daniel and the air of rightness & breathed out his words against Daniel's lips..."oh, baby." Daniel felt the endearment and arousal and promise and melted into words he would never have said, and now would never take back.

yes, tho prosaic is not what I was thinking while digging out *my* driveway...if this had been Jack's POV, he'd have been swearing like a sailor! ;)

I'm so tickled to see "gloriously romantic", that's how it felt when I wrote that last line ::sigh::

Awwww. I liked all the staring back and forth. And being honest with each other.

And this, from Part 1, made me giggle (even insanely):
"Aht." Jack raised his 'don't argue' finger. "No, Daniel, you'll just go back to bed and sleep off the meds you finally took last night. This is just a "Colorado flurry" and I am an Air Force Colonel and equal to the task of moving a little snow." Jack drew himself up to his full height, puffed out his chest & raised his eyebrows for good measure.
It's good to know that Jack's military training and experience make him super qualified to shovel snow.
::cackles with glee::

Mmm, sweet! Love both 'oh baby's, and the set-up, and The Moment, and the kiss, and that one kind of 'oh baby' starts it and another one seals it. Yum. And "Daniel," Jack breathed evenly, "are you implying you see something you like here?" -- so wonderfully Jack.

The Shocking Predictability of HomersBud99

[identity profile] jd-junkie.livejournal.com 2009-01-11 04:46 pm (UTC)(link)
“Tell me. Tell me!” Daniel always had been able to achieve Olympic-standard whining without really trying. He peered at the screen over Jack’s shoulder.

“Nope. You get to find out when it’s published.” Jack continued to peck away at the laptop on the dining table. “You do get a credit though. You know, at the beginning. Something along the lines of ‘And, as always, to Daniel. My once and future significant other,” he offered by way of distraction and consolation.

Daniel sighed. “Euuew. No thanks.”

Daniel changed tack and rested his chin on Jack’s shoulder, putting his arms around him and rubbing Jack’s chest in gentle circles. Jack always liked that. He’d cave.

“But I shouldn’t have to wait to read it with the masses. I’m your inspiration, your reason for being.” He kissed Jack’s ear. Jack loved that. He’d give in any second.

“Jesus, Daniel, enough with the Celine Dion crap. My memoirs are indeed full of you. They’re also full of Carter and George and everyone else, and they’re all waiting patiently. Get in line, buddy. Fucking like a fallen angel wins no privileges here.”

Daniel huffed in petulant fashion and tweaked Jack’s nipple. Jack adored that. Capitulation was surely seconds away.

“I hate you.”

“You love me.”

“Bastard.”

“Ass-hat.”

The high-brow intellectual exchange was interrupted when Jack’s cell phone rang. He picked up, still typing in his customary slow, staccato fashion. “O’Neill. Cass! Hey. I remember you. You never write, never call … OK, yes, well rarely. How are you sweetheart?”

Jack got up from the table and hit the button closing down the laptop, sending a meaningful “Don’t you dare fucking touch” glare Daniel’s way as he did so. He wandered into the kitchen, scooping up empty Guinness bottles as he went.
Daniel tapped his fingers on the back of the chair.

Oh, the temptation.

Jack was so predictable. He had the same user name for everything. He was HomersBud99 to his insurance company just as he was to that German gay porn website featuring Kurt of 12-inch dick fame.

Berating himself, but not too much, Daniel logged on. That just left the password. Eschewing Jack’s dogs’ names, the name of his fishing boat and anything to do with Mary Steenburgen, Daniel followed a hunch.

Click.

Fail.

Click again.

He was in.

“You rat bastard,” Jack squeaked, thundering in from the kitchen.

Daniel held his hands up in supplication. “Didn’t see anything. Not enough time, and you really should consider expanding your user name repertoire.”

Jack looked thoughtful and shifted a little uncomfortably.

“Did you guess my password?”

Daniel feigned ignorance.

Jack narrowed his eyes. “You so did!”

Daniel feigned greater ignorance. “Did not … Loveshisbaby4Eva.”

Jack sighed and looked adorably chagrined.

Daniel’s dick twitched and filled in a way that would have delighted an 18-year-old.

How he was immortalized in print suddenly didn’t matter anymore.

Hooray!

Undercurrent - PG-13 for language

[identity profile] chattycatsmeow.livejournal.com 2009-01-11 05:15 pm (UTC)(link)
Daniel tried to focus on the glyphs in front of him, but the sound kept intruding, breaking his concentration. He’d been sitting cross-legged on the ground in front of the wall long enough for the sole of his right boot to dig into his left shin. His knees and thigh muscles ached a bit from holding the same position for such an extended length of time and the cool damp of the ground had seeped into his butt. He scratched idly at his collar bone as he perused the reference text in his lap. The sooner he finished the sooner SG-1 could go home. Blocking out all physical discomfort, he fixed his attention on the wall. Perception narrowed to stone and line and myriad possible meanings. He jotted the probable translation in the notebook which was also in his lap.

And there it was again. That background noise, a low level whine, droning on and on and on. It was persistent, steady, and as constant as a fast flowing river, bringing to mind the phrase ‘babbling brook’. Sometimes the noise varied in intensity or volume but it never stopped. Ever. It was distracting as hell. Even more distracting than what had come before it. The noise built again, gaining volume. Gaining speed. Turning petulant.

Daniel felt something inside him go ‘ping!’ as though some limit had been reached and a switch had flipped.

“Oh for God’s sake! Here!” Daniel felt the words explode out of him. “Here’s your damn yo-yo.” With short sharp movements, he pulled the toy from the pocket on his tac vest and flung it, hard. There was a thump and an “oof!” as it hit Jack in the chest. “Now shut up and let me work, you big baby!”

“That’s Colonel Big Baby,” retorted Jack, “and that’s what you get for taking my stuff.”

“If you hadn’t been pestering me with it, I wouldn’t have taken it.”

“I wasn’t pestering," Jack said loftily. "I was creating a socially enriching interactive yo-yo experience. Carter and Teal’c didn’t mind, did you guys?”

Sam’s glare was so emphatic that Daniel could practically hear it, and Teal’c did that ultra-frowny thing with his mouth that made him look like one of muppets.

“See?” Jack willfully ignored his team mates' responses. “They didn’t mind. You need to quit being so touchy.”

Be careful what you wish for, Jack thought Daniel. Pretending to change his mind, he adopted a reasonable tone and said, “You know, you’re right, Jack. I should stop being so touchy. In fact, consider me a no-touch zone.” Narrowing his eyes to slits for emphasis, he could see the moment that Jack understood the subtext.

“Fuck,” said Jack.

“Not likely,” muttered Daniel.

Sam snickered as Teal’c smiled.

Re: Undercurrent - PG-13 for language

Totally Sam the Eagle I was thinking about! Of course, they'd have to clone Sam (the Eagle) or have some Asgard intervention to make it happen. And instead of an "ass baby" we'd have-- I don't have any idea what we'd have, and that's probably just as well.

I've seen Pooh/Tigger, and a mention of the inanimate objects in Beauty and the Beast (Lumiere/Some Male Thing), so I'm sure there's Muppet slash all over the freaking place. Someone needs to do an SG-1/Muppet fusion fic. (It's the pain meds. I swear.)

Be careful. My brain can be a scary place. Even for me.

I need to add that to the pile along with Emo!Daniel weeping and listening to Enya (http://tejas.livejournal.com/108234.html?thread=1838538#t1838538) while Jack puts on a bear suit in the other room (http://tejas.livejournal.com/108234.html?thread=1843914#t1843914).

Ooooh maybe combine the two and it's a FOZZIE bear suit...

I did see that! I think I cried, too. :p

Personally, I'm more of a fan of Spongebob/Patrick, but a crossover with SG-1 seems rather problematic. So many bunnies, so little time.

:D

I'm more of a fan of Spongebob/Patrick, but a crossover with SG-1 seems rather problematic.

Here - let me solve that for you. During the events of "Watergate" where the Russians have a submarine stuck halfway through a gate, in the water on the other side we have...Patrick and SpongeBob. Re-write so that ALL of SG-1 is in the sub along with Counsellor Troi the Russian scientist. SpongeBob and Patrick see the dilemma the team is in and bring their friend, Sandy the Squirrel with extra helmets. Sandy guides the team to her airy homestead complete with tree. The team rests up there while SpongeBob, Mr, Krab, Sam and Troi work on a solution.

There. When will the story be ready, eh? :D

Re: Undercurrent - PG-13 for language

[identity profile] chattycatsmeow.livejournal.com 2009-01-14 11:22 pm (UTC)(link)
Squidward is outside Sandy's bubble. For weeks now, he has been planning a quiet day in the country where SpongeBob and Patrick can't pester him. He has brought a picnic lunch, a novel, binoculars and a Field Guide To Jelly Fish. Unfortunately, his out of the way picnic place turns out to be the area around the underwater stargate where the sub is stuck. Everytime SpongeBob and Patrick try something to get the sub loose, the plan backfires all over Squidward. :)

Daniel, not only impressed with Squidward's determination to further his education, but also understanding the need to have some peace and quiet away from his friends, introduces Squidward to the tales of the Little Mermaid. Much to Daniel's consternation, Squidward immediately gives up his studies, and is soon spending all of his time writing fan fiction, secretly slashing his best friends, to the delight of many. :)

A Little Too Much to Drink, PG

[identity profile] melayneseahawk.livejournal.com 2009-01-11 06:05 pm (UTC)(link)
"Hey, baby," Daniel said, staggering over to Jack and collapsing onto the bench next to him. "Enjoying the feast?"

Jack was glad that the firelight hid the blush he was sure was bright on his cheeks. "And how much of the local hooch have you had, Danny?" he asked lightly.

Daniel leaned hard on his side, resting his head on Jack's shoulder. "Just the one, I was being good," he said, grinning cheekily up at Jack. "Think it packs a punch, though."

"Nope, you're just a cheap date," Jack said, smiling fondly. He stood from the table, catching Daniel before he tipped over, and pulled Daniel to his feet. "Bedtime for drunk archaeologists."

Daniel was surprisingly quiet as Jack half-carried him to the house SG-1 had been give to stay in. He should have known better, but he was too shocked to protest when Daniel tugged him into the bed with him.

"Whatcha doing, Daniel?" Jack asked, trying to pull away. Daniel's grip was oddly steady and strong, compared to how much trouble he'd been having walking. And suddenly he didn't look so drunk, either.

"Getting friendly," Daniel said, wrapping his arms around Jack's neck loosely. He could easily have pulled away, but something in Daniel's voice stopped him. "Sorry for the deception. I just wanted to get you away from the table."

"You little rat," Jack said. He was holding the weight of his torso up off of Daniel, but this meant that their hips were pressed together. Jack mentally cursed; he was getting hard from the close proximity to his annoying, beloved teammate.

Jack was about to pull away--he'd come up with something flippant to say--when Daniel rolled his hips against him, and Jack realized he was hard, too. "Your little rat," Daniel said. "If...if you want me, that is." For the first time since this all started, Daniel looked nervous.

Jack didn't even have to think before he dipped his head to kiss Daniel's mouth. "I'm going to hold you to that. Baby," he added with an evil grin.

Daniel's matched it.

Jack listens to the phone ringing 1500 miles away from him and almost chickens out in the few seconds between the click of the phone being picked up and the first hint of answer from the phone's owner.

“Jackson,” Daniel’s voice is still on autopilot; he sounds awake but Jack knows better. And now there's nothing for it but to push on like he knows exactly what he's doing; the same as he's always done when caught in a terrifying situation.

“Daniel! How’s it goin’?”

“Jack?” Jack can hear scraping and shifting in the background, knows Daniel is blindly reaching out for his glasses. “It's four in the morning. Is everything okay?”

“No, it’s not okay. I woke up today with no job, an empty house, and nothing but fruit loops for breakfast. To top it all off, I stupidly sold all of my furniture and slept on the floor last night and my back is killing me," And here Jack stumbles, has to pause to gather all his bravado around him like armor. "So now I’m worried that when you pick me up from the airport in a few hours I won’t be able to properly dip you in that big romantic kiss I’ve been planning pretty much since I realized this retirement might actually stick." There it is: all his cards on the table and it's Daniel's move.

There’s nothing but silence on the other end of the phone, although Jack imagines he can hear the slow, confused blink of Daniel’s eyes. He knows Daniel wants this, knows it like he knows the longing in his own heart, but the pause from Colorado gives him just enough time to doubt, to mentally move to Minnesota instead of home where he belongs before there’s a puff of air like Daniel’s letting out a breath he’s been holding for more than a decade.

And then Daniel laughs, more air than sound, but full of joy. “Don’t worry, baby. I’ll dip you.”

::hugs:: You're so sweet! I do so love the term 'baby' with Jack and Daniel. It doesn't really work elsewhere. Can you see Sky's face if Jack tried that? Oh no, I did not just give myself a plot bunny. ::goes into denial::

Hey Baby, Hey PG

[identity profile] freaky-anomaly.livejournal.com 2009-01-12 05:15 am (UTC)(link)
Sorry for the pathetic attempt but I wanted to contribute and this is the crap that spewed forth.

What do you say? Dinner, baby?

Jack shook his head in frustration. Yeah, that'll catch the guy. Sound sleazy. He threw the bouncy bal at the wall again. It hit with a smack! and ricocheted back towards Jack. The colonel caught it automatically, his mind still on the problem of asking one Dr. Daniel 'Don't Tell Me What to Do' Jackson out on a date.

Hey... baby! How's about we get down and dirty? Jack sighed and dropped his head into his hands, the bouncy ball pushing into his left eyeball.

"Smooth, Jack. Very smooth. And what's with your damn fixation on calling Daniel baby?"

"You like to call me baby, Jack?"

Jack whirled around, shock spreading across his face. There, just behind Jack, stood Daniel, a smirk spreading across his face. The archaeologist's eyes twinkled as he said, "I hope it's not because you think I should still be in diapers."

Jack just stared. Daniel pushed off from the door and walked slowly towards his team leader. "But from the blush creeping across your face, I'd say it was the sexy baby. Am I right? Baby."

Daniel kicked the door shut.

END.

Confirmation - J/D, PG, 1/2

[identity profile] writinginct.livejournal.com 2009-01-12 08:35 pm (UTC)(link)
Jack stood at the kitchen counter, his fingers sticky with egg and breadcrumbs as he attempted to recreate his mother's fried chicken. The radio in the corner was playing softly and the kitchen sparkled from his thorough cleaning earlier. There were muffled noises coming from the basement- the sounds of Daniel rotating yet another load of laundry.

It had been a very domestic sort of day for the two men including much needed housework, grocery shopping, and a full on frontal attack on the mountain of laundry they had let accumulate the past couple of weeks. If anyone had asked Jack three months ago if his idea of a good time was to scrub his kitchen counters and meander around a grocery store he would have told them they were nuts. But a lot can change in three months and something that was lost can be found again wrapped in blue robes half a galaxy away. And Jack would happily spend all of the rest of his life's weekends scrubbing his counters and doing laundry as long as Daniel was with him.

But that was the kicker. Daniel wasn't with him. Oh sure they lived together, he had deftly moved a homeless Daniel into his house following his return to Earth and they had hashed out a calm home life that suited them both. But they weren't together, not like Jack wanted to be.

When Daniel had ascended Jack had finally allowed himself to examine his feelings for Daniel and it wasn't easy to do. It wasn't easy to do having some forty-odd years behind him of being strictly heterosexual. And it certainly wasn't easy to do because Daniel was gone. And though he decided to be honest with Daniel when he returned, Daniel's Swiss cheese memory kept Jack from telling Daniel about his personal epiphany. It would have felt like he was taking advantage of the situation. So he kept it all to himself. But truth be told, Jack was happy. Daniel was home fully in body and spirit, and his mind was not far behind.

Jack turned to grab a paper towel and found the roll empty. With the toe of his shoe he managed to open the lower cabinet where the spare rolls were kept and came up empty again. With a frown he walked towards the basement door with his breadcrumb crusted hands held up like a surgeon fresh from scrubbing up. He stuck his head in the open basement door and said without thinking, "Baby, can you grab some paper towels on your way up? We're all out up here."

There was an odd moment of quiet from the basement before Jack finally heard Daniel clear his throat a little and reply, "Sure. I'll ah... bring some up."

"Cool. Chicken is ready to go."

Jack headed back to the kitchen and it wasn't until he got there that he realized in horror what he had actually just said to Daniel. With a sigh he dropped his chin and shook his head. All he could hope was that Daniel hadn't caught it.

A minute later Daniel came upstairs with a couple rolls of paper towels balanced on top of a basket of clean laundry. As Daniel slipped one on the holder and tucked the other under the cupboard, Jack saw no sign that Daniel had caught his slip.

Actually there was no sign all through dinner and no sign as they watched a movie in the living room after dinner.

There was no sign until they had both turned in for the night. Jack had just climbed into bed and turned off the light when there was a light knock on his bedroom door. At Jack's acknowledgment Daniel opened the door and entered the room. Without waiting for further invitation he sat down on the edge of the bed next to Jack.

[identity profile] writinginct.livejournal.com 2009-01-12 08:36 pm (UTC)(link)
The light from the hallway let Jack see Daniel's face and he could see the question burning in his eyes. Jack was prepared for the questions. Questions he could handle. But the normally verbose Daniel took another route. His hand gently came to rest on the side of Jack's face, his thumb lightly stroking Jack's cheek.

Jack didn't move, didn't make a sound, and he forgot to breathe. And he was sure that his heart skipped more than a few beats when Daniel dipped his head and softly pressed his lips to Jack's. It was a gentle exploration. And it was over all too soon as Daniel pulled back.

"You never called me that before."

Jack registered that Daniel had stated that rather than asked and was looking for confirmation, a subtle tool he had been using as his memory returned. Jack shook his head lightly.

Daniel's thumb found its way to feather a caress over Jack's lips as he formed his response. "But you wanted to."

Jack nodded slowly.

Daniel nodded in return and leaned in for another kiss, this one deeper and more assertive and Jack couldn't stop the mewing sound he made as Daniel pulled back again.

"We've never kissed before."

Another shake of Jack's head confirmed that for him.

A wide, genuine smile grew on Daniel's face and he chuckled before saying, "Ever since you called me "baby" I've been wracking my brain thinking I wasn't remembering something important. But we never..."

Jack made his mouth work and said, "No. While you were gone I kinda sorted out a lot of stuff in my own head. I've wanted to say something since you got back but it never seemed to be the right time."

It was Daniel's turn to nod. And before Jack could offer up explanations about not wanting to take advantage of Daniel's holey memory, Daniel's mouth found his again. And gone were all signs of gentle exploration as the pent up passion between them broke loose.

When Jack woke a couple of hours later sprawled on top of a dead to the world Daniel he took a moment to take in how restful Daniel looked still illuminated by the hall light that they had neglected to turn off earlier. His movement or the absence of Jack's weight must have disturbed Daniel a little as Daniel shifted around and adjusted the blankets without really waking. As Jack settled back down himself, he was surprised when Daniel's voice broke the silence of the room. "Hon, can you get that light?"

the end.

Who's Your Baby?

[identity profile] starting-gate.livejournal.com 2009-01-12 10:26 pm (UTC)(link)
"C'mere, baby. I've missed you like you wouldn't believe. I hate going offworld without you. I miss holding you, missed having you at my side when I sleep."

"Major Carter, should we not turn our radios off?"

"After what happened last time? Daniel missed the last three missions! We just got him back. Not a chance. When the team's separated, they stay on. You heard the colonel's order, too."

"It's been impossible to get any alone time with you for this."

"It appears that Daniel Jackson has not obeyed O'Neill's order."

That's my baby. Come to Papa."

"Did he just say 'Papa'? No! Don't answer that. Uh, no, Daniel hasn't got his radio on, but . . . Daniel's, you know, right there, with the colonel."

"I'm so glad you're back. You look so good. Now I'm going to make you feel good, too."

"Indeed."

"This is gonna be great. Look what I brought. Yeah, thought you'd like that. I'm gonna do you like never before."

"So, Teal'c . . . uh, nice campfire you've got going there."

"I'm going to slick you up so good, baby."

"Perhaps, Major Carter, you should advise O'Neill regarding his radio status."

"Ooh. Right there. That's the spot. I know, I gotta take better care of you; do this in the field more often."

"That's a good idea, Teal'c. You do that. Please. Please do that. What if I make it an order?"

"Look at you. All spread out like that. So beautiful, baby. And all for me."

"I believe it is your duty, Major Carter."

"Hey, guys. Dinner ready?"

"D-Daniel? What are you doing here?"

"Um, asking about dinner?"

"Are you okay? You look a little flushed."

"I'm fine. Why do you look so surprised that I'm here?"

"Major Carter and I were under the impression you were with Colonel O'Neill."

"Ah, um, I was, uh, at the latrine, actually."

"Oh. Then who's in your tent with the colonel?"

"Why do you think anyone's in there with him?"

"We were following O'Neill's orders, Daniel Jackson, leaving our radios on at all times."

"Oh. Well, you know, I was at the latrine, I thought it best to, um, turn mine off."

"The colonel seems to have turned his off, now, too . . . but if it wasn't you, then who's the colonel been talking to?"

"What did he say?"

"Well, uh, I really couldn't make out any of it. You know, radio static . . . and he was sort of talking quiet--"

"O'Neill was whispering softly and speaking with terms of endearment."

"He was, was he?"

"He said, 'Come to, Papa, baby."

"That is incorrect. O'Neill said, 'That's my baby. Come to Papa.'"

"Oh, that! Heh. It's his, um, his P-90. Yeah, his P-90. I, uh, I remember now. It, uh-- He told me it jammed a few of planets ago -- the one where I got injured -- and he had to leave it, you know, leave it on base to-to have it . . . repaired. Fixed. That's what it was. Yeah. In fact, he just got it back in time for this mission. Oh, and he's got some new . . . new . . . what do you call it . . ? Gun oil! That's it. He's all excited about it and he wanted to try it out to keep it -- the jamming thing -- from happening again."

"Oh, well. That makes so much sense! You wouldn't believe what it was we thought we heard."

"Indeed."

"Yeah. I probably would. So, uh, when's dinner?"

"Sorry, Daniel; we were kind of distracted. About half an hour or so?"

"That's fine. I'll let Jack know so he can finish-- Damn. I left my journal at the latrine. Okay, see you guys in thirty."

"Okay, Daniel."

"I will assist Major Carter."

"I can't believe we jumped to such a ridiculous conclusion."

"It is understandable. However, I was unaware of O'Neill having any difficulty with his weapon on that, or any other, mission."

"That's not like him. But it wasn't in his mission report, either."

"He also made no mention of a weapons mishap at any briefing."

"Right. And I'll just bet Daniel's headed right back to get his journal. . . ."

"Perhaps we should begin the meal preparation."

"Yeah. At least he's turned off his radio."

"Indeed."

~~

"Jack?"

"Hey, Daniel. Where ya been?"

"Latrine; getting my ass ready for you. I've been waiting weeks for this, Jack. I'm so horny I can barely string two words together."

"Yeah, Daniel. That's my baby. Come to Papa."

"And Jack?"

"Hmm?"

"Put the gun away, first."

Some things are as hard to write as they are to read. When I wrote the short story of young Daniel coming to grips with his parents' deaths it took forever to write because I could only get a few sentences out before I was too upset to continue!

This is an excellent ficlet - packs quite a punch in so few words. Very glad to know that Daniel will be okay. He HAS to be. ::sniffles again::

This situation in particular is one in which I've always totally believed that Jack would call Daniel 'baby.' I'm so glad you wrote it!

I also like the way that the promptathon context lets you end it right where you do, right after the climactic 'baby' line, at that spiking moment of either rescue arriving or Carter being totally wrong about what she thought she heard.

Faith Comes From Hearing
by Jude

When he surfaced from the anonymous black headspace he'd been in, his hearing was the first sense he regained.

"Baby, baby..." Just a whisper, floating on his returning consciousness, and even in his addled state, he could hear the yearning in those words.

"Wake up, please wake up." A sniff, followed by a muttered low curse and a loud honk as whoever it was unceremoniously blew their nose.

The voice came back after another sniff and a soft, almost gentle clearing of the throat. "Baby, I need you, don't you know that?" A pause. "It's been too long. They said to talk to you, but I don't know what to say, except... I love you. I swear to god, I'll tell you all about it, I'll do anything, if you'll just wake up and look at me. C'mon, baby... open up those beautiful peepers and look at me."

A rustling of bedsheets as the whisper turned into a masculine voice. "Doc..."

"Any reaction, Colonel? Has he moved or shown that he knew you were here?" A woman's voice this time.

"No." A world of sadness. "No."

A few moments of silence. "Doc, what am I gonna do... I mean, what is SG-1 gonna do.... if he..." The sniffing was back.

The next low voice clearly belonged to the doctor. "I know, I know. But don't give up, just keep on talking, okay?" The sound of her footsteps followed her away.

The man's voice was directly in his ear now, gentle but commanding. "You wake up and look at me right this goddamned minute, do you hear me?" The sniffing and nose-blowing was back, and so was the whispering. "I love you, Daniel Jackson, and I need to tell you so. Please don't leave me. I need you, baby."

Before he could try to speak or move, the blackness swallowed Daniel's consciousness once again.

What the Man Wants NC-17

[identity profile] jd-junkie.livejournal.com 2009-01-15 08:21 pm (UTC)(link)
Off-world sex in a tent presented its own unique problems, Daniel decided.
First there was the lack of a nice, absorbs-all-jolts mattress; two bedrolls and sleeping bags did not a comfortable bed make, although it was one step up from the hard dirt of that fuck-for-we-might-die-tomorrow cave on P4X-119.

Then there was the lack of sound-proofing. This was the greatest problem of all where Daniel was concerned.

Jack – master of stealth even when the gods of climax were being praised – could be silent when he had to be. Biting the back of Daniel’s neck, mouthing his hair or, if Daniel was driving, shoving his face in a pillow usually helped.

Daniel, on the other hand, was loud. Always had been.

When he discovered the joy of jerking off as a boy, he also discovered the joy of giving voice to his pleasure. He made sex dates with himself when his foster parents went out. He thinks he may have scared next door’s dog, Buster, more than once. Buster didn’t like howling.

But what the hell was the point of sex if you couldn’t let rip with the occasional expletive, moan or groan?

Early on in their relationship, Daniel learned that sometimes it turned Jack on to be silent.

It turned Daniel on to know Jack was being silent. Because Jack was sexy as fuck when he was being silent. Tonight, Jack was being sexy as fuck.

Sam was asleep, due to take fourth watch. Teal’c was taking first, sitting maybe ten feet away from their two-man pup.

Daniel hoped Teal’c was indulging in some sneaky kel-no-reeming, because he really didn’t want to explain the half-stifled sounds he was trying not to make.

Daniel, desperate for Jack to fuck him after being on secondment with SG-11 for too long, had wheedled, begged and eventually resorted to palming Jack’s hard dick through his BDUs to get what he wanted.

So Jack was fucking him (after some bitching about kneeling on inadequately supportive bedding) very much against his better judgement but unable to deny Daniel anything.

They kept on their black Ts, but that was all. Jack was stroking deep into Daniel, holding Daniel to him with one arm around his waist and the other around his chest.
He was grinding and holding … holding, then pulling out just a little and pushing and holding again.

Daniel wanted to scream. Knowing that he couldn’t made him want to do it more.

It was perfect fucking.
It was fucking perfect.
Taking him to the edge and holding him there.

A ragged moan escaped Daniel lips and Jack whispered a soft “Shhh” in his ear, kissing his neck for good measure and then placing his hand over Daniel’s mouth.
And fuck didn’t that just add a whole other layer of the forbidden to it all.
Whispering, letting the breathy words escape between Jack’s fingers, Daniel gave in to his need to make some kind of noise, any kind of noise. “Fuck me, fuck me, god, you’re so fucking hot. Hard, Jaa… want you so fucking much. Harder.” Muted, stifled, indecipherable pleas fought their way out of him.

Jack tightened his hand on Daniel’s mouth, producing a muffled high-pitched moan from Daniel, who pushed back hard onto Jack’s dick and fumbled a hand back to hold on to his ass.

Daniel felt Jack’s body tense, knew he was close; knew that they were both going to come and it was probably going be together.

He wrenched his head to the side, twisted slightly, dislodging Jack’s hand, eager for a hard, devouring kiss. He wanted Jack to swallow his cries, take every ounce of his love into him.

“Please,” Daniel moaned into Jack’s mouth, kissing and kissing.
It went on and on.

Then, without warning, Jack stopped moving and held himself to complete stillness. Daniel responded in kind.

In an almost absurd moment of clarity, Daniel realized they were kneeling in the dark in a tent on a planet whose designation they wouldn’t remember beyond the mission report write up, suspended in that split second between not-coming and coming. He was startlingly aware of the shaft of pale moonlight through a gap in the tent flap; the rustle of trees in the forest; the scent of midnight-dewed grass.

And Jack’s mouth, that had been delving Daniel’s so fiercely only moments before, went soft and lax and his lips moved unbearably tenderly against Daniel’s as he whispered, “Oh, Daniel, baby.”

And coming had never felt so good.

When Jack got back from the bathroom, the cold winter light was just trickling through the blinds, showing Daniel well to his night-time eyes. Daniel looked silver-grey in the moonlight, his skin smooth and his shoulder a sharp and soft angle at the same time.

Daniel rolled over as Jack's hip rested on the bed, his hand reaching out in a gesture automatic and yet full of intention. The hand would look, Jack knew, until it found him, or Daniel's eyes would open, some internal alarm setting him awake and off to look for Jack if the hand could not find him.

Jack's hand slid around the outside of Daniel's, and his spine settled back into the mattress. He was a little afraid Daniel would wake more, but he couldn't resist levering his own shoulder under Daniel's head, feeling the late-night stubble of Daniel's jaw gently stabbing his skin, and the corner of Daniel's mouth against him too. Daniel came easily into his arms, fit against him, again automatically, the ease of a long repeated action. Jack's arm settled solidly around his shoulders.

Daniel's impossibly long eyelashes swept open and the eyes, dark and bleary in the night, searched too.

"Go back to sleep, baby," Jack whispered into the edge of his hair, his mouth against warm skin, and Daniel subsided on a silent sigh, breathing into Jack's chest, sleeping.

Mmmmm.

Just right for a cold winter's night.
And I particularly enjoyed the casual inventory of body parts reacting and intersecting.

Ah, c'mon, you mean you can't get Absolute!Daniel to string Jack up (naked, of course), flog him a bit and then stroke him all the while telling him how good it's going to be once Jack accepts his new position as sex slave and have him call Jack baby a time or six?

Sid, Sid, Sid, I'm surprised at you.
