I thought about that time-traveling puddlejumper, too. But was it left in Ancient Egypt? No, no, wait! In the new timeline it's still on the planet where Maybourne isn't.
Don't know if they would have been able to convince Jack to help them time travel, but I'm sure they were planning to use him to power the chair once they laid their hands on a ZPM. But we know how that plan ended....
Oh, I don't get the "Lone Pine Mall" reference, but you're probably right - those guys are always 'homaging' something!
Yes, it took me 3 viewings (the last one by myself) to understand all the goings-on and keep things more or less straight and appreciate some of the nice acting. :-)
