In your own space, post a rec for at least three fanworks that you have created. It can be your favorite fanworks that you've created, or fanworks you feel no one ever saw, or fanworks you say would define you as a creator.

REC!

[livejournal.com profile] troyswann/salieri wrote an adorable commentfic for me based on the prompt: SG-1, 3 pm, thesaurus (fandom, time of day, object.)

Go read it! :-D
sid: (J/D heart)
I have accomplished next to nothing this weekend, other than wallowing in fanfic that I'd saved to my hard drive years ago. My tastes are a bit more refined these days, I guess you might say. There were several stories that I instantly remembered from the title alone and was eager to read again...that turned out to not be as good as I remembered. Some were pretty good all the way through and then had atrocious endings. *shakes head*

Then I found one I didn't remember at all that had a perfect ending that left me smiling. And then I discovered there were two prequels that I don't remember reading before, but honestly, who remembers 2006? :-D

They're all posted in [livejournal.com profile] blue_meridian's LJ. Humor, whump, angst, and sexy times. I think you'll enjoy them!

[personal profile] synecdochic has an ongoing OMG We Need Some Porn In Here Stat meme, and I left the following prompt awhile back: Jack/Daniel, after they trick the Aliens into Making Them Do It, because Daniel really likes having an audience, and Jack really, really likes reaping the benefits.

This prompt has now been filled by the marvelous [personal profile] pipisafoat, with exquisite pr0niness.

So what are you still doing here? Go!
sid: (George and team)
I'm just going to put the summary here, and a link. I loved it and I'm never going to forget it.

Jack wakes up in the SGC to the news that his team is dead. If he weren't hearing the news from General Hammond he might not believe it--and even so it's not quite real until he sees the bodies. Once he does, he knows nothing is ever going to be the same again.

Sam wakes up in the SGC to the news that she is now the senior member of SG-1. Jack O'Neill is dead. For Sam and her team, nothing is ever going to be the same again.

SG-1 might be able to go on like this--Sam's going to keep her team together if it kills her--but a man who's lost his team is capable of anything, and Jack's about to do the unthinkable to make things right.

Jigsaw at Ao3
sid: (Cam/Daniel look)
The purpose behind the annual fest at [community profile] cm_tropefic/[livejournal.com profile] cm_tropefic is to make sure that Cameron Mitchell doesn't miss out on all the fanfic fun that the original team went through. Fair is fair!

Here's a couple of stories I really enjoyed this time around. Both are Cam/Daniel** :

Transference by [personal profile] bluflamingo. Summary: People with sudden onset telepathy never hear anything they want to; when Cam's comes on while he's having sex with Daniel, it's that times a thousand. NC-17, 4112 words.

Lost Time by [personal profile] spillingvelvet. Summary: It's all fun and games until someone puts on an alien gadget. PG-13, 6450 words.

**or at least one starts that way and one ends that way. ;-)

I have my fingers crossed for more great fics during amnesty posting!

ETA: a link that will actually work.

[personal profile] ravenholdt created a vid in honor of Jack O'Neill's birthday.

I am happy to say that slashiness abounds.

I am even happier to say that thumb-rubbing abounds!

DID YOU KNOW THE THUMB-RUBBING WAS MUTUAL?

Look for the evidence just after the one minute mark!

Go, watch, squee. :-)/:-)
sid: (J/D Fallen)
It's early season 7 at Jack's cabin, complete with dreaming and yearning and wondering... and the smell of baking bread. :-)

'Smells Like Home', ~1800 words, rated R, over at [livejournal.com profile] jd_ficathon.
sid: (SG-1 inseparable)
[personal profile] paian's done some lovely, smutty comment!ficcing! She's completed a branch at [livejournal.com profile] sg1_fic_trees of the NC-17 OT4 team shower fic that's set soon before Jack leaves for D.C. and Sam for Area 51.

There's a compilation post of the older comments, followed by a bit of housekeeping, and then [livejournal.com profile] princessofg kicks off the re-start in high gear and [livejournal.com profile] paianfic steps in and wraps the story up with some loving and steamy sexing, and marvellous camaraderie.

The O'Neill Method (OT4 version)
sid: (J/D kink)
Run and read the lovely 7,000 word kinky fic that [personal profile] justhuman wrote for me in the 2009 Jack/Daniel ficathon!

You can read it on LJ,
or on Dreamwidth.

(I'm doing this backwards: I read the story yesterday evening and didn't get a chance to leave feedback yet, but I'm pimping it anyway. Now I can go and re-read leisurely and SQUEE!!!)
sid: (Five Things Stargate)
For set 79 at [livejournal.com profile] sg1_five_things:

Five men Daniel has loved
Five people Jack kisses at his retirement party (after he's had a few)
The five worst-kept secrets in the SGC

More RDA thunk from [personal profile] l_jade. I love the second picture, with the bright splash of color!

A short Daniel/Sha're AU ficlet: Talking Points by [personal profile] princessofgeeks. From a Season 3 where Sha're was freed and brought to Earth.

Long Slow Comfortable Screw - In A Tent by [livejournal.com profile] limerencelove. Tent!fic, but not offworld!

A new and fun offering at [livejournal.com profile] sg1_fic_trees: Fluffy. A second branch of the tree is just getting underway. Go and contribute!
sid: (Jack contemplative)
A Strange Bewilderment, O'Neill/Kawalsky by [personal profile] jdjunkie. Gorgeous. It will make you a believer.

Abicierum (Part 1), SG-1/SGA crossover by [livejournal.com profile] thekatcameback and [livejournal.com profile] doublehelix20. Wonderfully sweet and terribly funny. Jack/Daniel and McKay/Sheppard. M-preg. (psst! It's Rodney!)

Part 2

Part 3 of 3

Remember when I mentioned my prompt at [livejournal.com profile] sg1_five_things, Five Things Absolute!Power Daniel does to relax? Well, there were three responses:

one by [livejournal.com profile] theeverdream. I'm liking her stuff a lot - encourage her to write more!

another by [livejournal.com profile] delphia2000. Thank you again, delph! (I'd encourage you to write more too, but I just realized I still have your last offering bookmarked, lol. ASAP)

and a late entry by [livejournal.com profile] msbeata, who is entirely too kind (and entirely kinky about George/Walter - but not this time around.)

Okay, go read now! *shoos you all away*
sid: (Sid in the moon)
Go read [livejournal.com profile] jd_junkie's gift to me! It's a warm and sexy and hilarious sequel to 'Unencrypted Hearts', which she and I co-wrote, and to which she supplies the link: The Comfort Stop Coda.

Thank you so much to everyone for the good wishes, and special thanks to [livejournal.com profile] charmedstrange1 for the yummy cocktail!.
sid: (Teal'c x 3)
A lovely ficlet from Teal'c's POV, set early in Season One, full of poetry and pain and his admiration of and desire for Daniel.

It's [personal profile] lotesse's first SG-1 fic.

Go tell her to write some more!

The rec: some smoking hot J/D by [livejournal.com profile] starfirefic.  I'm still lost in the mood created by this little beauty.   'Playing with Fire'

Five Things:

Five side effects from the ATA gene that affect O'Neill and Sheppard.

Five memories Daniel got back at inopportune times.
sid: (J/D closeup)

Yes, recs from me - strange, I know. And these are two very different balls of wax.

First, the brand-new and infinitely delightful 'Quid Ex Quo' from [personal profile] paian for the [profile] gateverse_remix . It's a remix of my 'Quid Pro Quo', which is linked at the top of her story, and she just twisted it up into something terrific and hot! NC-17.

The second rec is for a 3-part story by [personal profile] kuonji that I don't think got a lot of attention. Not nearly as much as I think it deserves, anyway. And I can understand why, because it's quite uncomfortable to read. I imagine that a lot of folks never made it through Part One. Daniel is kidnapped and raped and it's all very dark. Very. I left no feedback for Part One, because I didn't know what the hell to say.

But I bit the bullet and read Part Two, and there was an 'oh!' moment at the end that left me eager for Part Three. And that not only lived up to, but surpassed my expectations. Very well written and well constructed.  No fairy tale happy ending - just a ray of hope.

Part One 'Closeted'

sid: (J/D subtext)
I didn't do it!  It was [personal profile] wraith816!  Don't blame me if you spit liquids all over your keyboard, monitor, clothing...

warning: inappropriate use of dolls
sid: (Default)
I don't know why I didn't do this before.

Here's a link to the story that was written for me in the Jack/Daniel ficathon this year:  It's post-Icon, established relationship.

http://saeva.livejournal.com/91114.html

Not at all what I would have written, which I think must be the whole point!  Otherwise, everybody would just write a story for their own prompts, and why have a ficathon?  I didn't understand how it worked when I signed up, but it was all very cool.  And so many good stories!

In fact, here is a link to the list of all the stories (so far).  Don't miss any!!
