Yes, recs from me - strange, I know. And these are two very different balls of wax.

First, the brand-new and infinitely delightful 'Quid Ex Quo' from [personal profile] paian for the [profile] gateverse_remix . It's a remix of my 'Quid Pro Quo', which is linked at the top of her story, and she just twisted it up into something terrific and hot! NC-17.

The second rec is for a 3-part story by [personal profile] kuonji that I don't think got a lot of attention. Not nearly as much as I think it deserves, anyway. And I can understand why, because it's quite uncomfortable to read. I imagine that a lot of folks never made it through Part One. Daniel is kidnapped and raped and it's all very dark. Very. I left no feedback for Part One, because I didn't know what the hell to say.

But I bit the bullet and read Part Two, and there was an 'oh!' moment at the end that left me eager for Part Three. And that not only lived up to, but surpassed my expectations. Very well written and well constructed.  No fairy tale happy ending - just a ray of hope.

Part One 'Closeted'

Oh, YEAH! Closeted was a tough one but there was some relief without a reset button at the end. :-) She done good.

Ooooh I read those, they were really good if a bit of a head f*%$ for a while. I though the ending was good, a little more realistic than some, but also left room for another episode if needed. I agree though, the first part was difficult to get through for a while, where the second part just had you focused a lot more.
