I've had low expectations for years. I think I'm in the negative numbers. I'm tired of the romps, because that's all the show is now, even when in theory there's a serious issue to be dealt with. I'd actually like a real plot treated seriously now and again. I certainly don't expect deep writing from this lot, but I see so much potential and they'd rather do slapstick with it.
I was hoping they'd actually use a movie reach a little more than they have in recently, but we got the same old churned out thing they've been putting on the screen for years. The only extra was the cameos, but they didn't do much with 99% of them, so I didn't see any point other than to go, "Hey, look, it's ____!".
I'm just not all that interested in seeing anything else from this group of TPTB in the future. I've seen it all before, usually done much better in the past. I'm much more interested in seeing what the actors do though, because they actually seem to "get" the fans and do not slam them over and over.
