I think its great the response you got. Shows the fandom is still chugging along, it showcases a rich assortment of creativity and how we each view Jack and Daniel in our own minds. I personally love it because its a prompt that gets ideas flowing and makes me wanna write, instead of having all sorts of stuff cluttering up the grey matter.

I think you should do another one, or have someone else "host"...the only topic that kinda makes me cringe is 'lost'...I see alot of tissues getting passed around.

re: the surprise that so many people love "baby": YES! I used to get kind of shamefaced about loving schmoop in a fandom this angsty, but then i discovered that tons of people love it. Baby the same way. I love that particular endearment; I think it's a very likely thing that jack would call daniel, and just YES.

(remember "Slipping" by paian? LOLOL.)

It's been the "fun-nest" (ok not a word really I know!) "A-Thon" for ages.....I sooooo totally see this word as being one of the very few endearments that either Jack or Daniel would use......


I love my fandom with a passion, always have, always will.....the friends I've made from it are kind, articulate, funny and wonderful human beings who I will keep in touch with for a very long time, if not forever with some of them.....

5 years ago I'd have laughed if I'd have written that last paragraph......I'm glad I've been able to...

I only found out recently that 'Baby' is a canon endearment for Jack. He says it to Sara in Cold Lazarus. You wouldn't believe how happy that made me. :-)
