;.; Oh grief. I could probably have done without that being the first thing I read today.
Although... I've always had a thing about how Daniel's conversation with Oma suggested that his path on Earth had gone off-track and he couldn't fix it... It always seemed to me that she was giving him one of two options: going with her, or continuing as things were; no option to makes changes in his life. So now you have me wondering how Bjorn and Jack fit into the road he no longer wanted to travel. Because if Daniel was happy in his life, or saw the opportunity to be happy in his life, why choose Oma's path? I wonder if Bjorn himself was Daniel's mistake, even if jack didn't read it that way.
Anyway... I love the strong sense of empathy that comes across between Jack and Bjorn, here. I love Jack's dignity - making it all about Bjorn, detaching himself from his own grief, agony, heart-break through his military training... putting it all to one side until his problems won't hurt anyone else. The support. And the thread of hope because he knows that Daniel isn't dead per se (Wondering what the hell Daniel will do about all this in a year or so's time when he's descended and got his memories back. Heh.)

Thank you, as ever. :D
