How it really all began....

My First Story: 

It was late Halloween night, 2004, and I was bored.  Nothing sounded good.  Nothing on TV, I didn't feel like reading.  So I sat down at the computer and just started writing.  And found myself seeing Jack O'Neill in a whole new way! 

This first effort is very short, because I soon reached a point where I couldn't decide what to do next.  Or what Daniel would do next!  So I wrapped it up, rather neatly I thought.  And was so pleased with the result that I just had to share it.  So I posted it on Area 52. I quickly received lovely, lovely feedback from people protesting, "You can't leave it like that!  What happens next?"

So I sat down and figured out what happened next, and wrote it.  With dialogue!!  Which I had very carefully avoided in the first part of the story, since I had no clue whether I could pull it off or not.  And then I posted it to Area 52, and sat back and waited for feedback:
