I want to know what Jack and Daniel were doing before they rushed into the Gateroom (Daniel pulling on his jacket) at the start of Upgrades. :-)

COMMUNICATION
Things just kind of exploded between them after Euronda. But not in the bad way. Jack had made his apology there at the DHD, with Daniel’s hand held in his, and Daniel had been confused but eager to forgive. Carter had been nearly silent during the debrief and Jack kept hearing that last thud against the iris, so Daniel did most of the talking while the rest of them contributed just enough to give Hammond the full picture. Minus a few snapshots of Jack making an ass of himself.
Daniel would have been entitled to rub it in, but instead he never brought it up. Not that they’d spent a lot of time talking to each other, those first few days. Daniel managed to make it perfectly clear that Jack was forgiven, and Jack did his best to show that he was appropriately grateful. There were olive branches and friendly looks galore.
But there was also an unease. Jack felt it as an itch whenever he was around Daniel. He didn’t know what Daniel felt it as, but he clearly was feeling it.
How best to scratch that itch became clear the night Daniel rang his doorbell at two in the morning.
The itch didn’t go away, but it was a lot more enjoyable now that Jack understood what it was. The friendly looks didn’t go away either, they just carried secret messages now.
And occasionally the secret message was an urgent one, which needed to be elaborated on, in a secret place. Often articles of clothing were surplus to that task.
Which was how they found themselves in a storage closet, with Daniel bare to the waist and Jack’s hands fumbling at the buttons of his fly as Daniel attempted to suck his tonsils out, when the klaxon sounded.
