An Exceptionally Bad Start (tm)
Jan. 2nd, 2009 02:22 pmCookies - 0. None in the house.
High chloresterol foods consumed - all of them. Peanut butter and bacon sandwiches, mmm.
Alcohol units - what's wrong with whiskey and Diet Coke for breakfast?
Trips to the infirmary - Not even going to attempt getting in a car.
Somewhere around, oh, 2009, I spectacularly fucked up my back. I have no recollection of doing this, and, no, I wasn't plastered. Maybe it was the struggle to get the bubbly opened? My trick knee went out in my sleep once - spectacularly. So I presume this might have happened in my sleep, too.
2009: the Year of Sleeping Dangerously. And very little, too. Like only 4 hours on Jan. 1st, but I did better last night.
So it's Aleve and ice packs, and whiskey and Diet Coke (for medicinal purposes, as well as for breakfast.) But the whiskey is nearly gone, and then we'll find out if my back is up to shaking cocktails. Medicinal cocktails.
Reading the January Dr. Jackson's Diary to distract self. We miss you, Anais.
I haven't tried writing. Is suffering good for writing? I should test that.
