Five things Daniel is allergic to

I'll post that second one right here, too, since it's short and doesn't require a cut:

1. Daniel Jackson is allergic to stupidity, in even very small doses.

 

2. Daniel is prone to extremely violent reactions when exposed to snakes.

 

3. Most people think that successfully preserving your own life is nothing to be sneezed at. Daniel disagrees with this concept, sneezing at it frequently and heartily.

 

4. As a corollary to #3, in situations where others are in danger, Daniel often breaks out in a rash action.

 

5. Daniel cannot know for sure, since it has never been put to the test, but he is fairly certain that the Wraith would give him hives.

I've just made an entry, a 150 word fic start, at paian 's sg1_fic_trees , here, which anyone is welcome to continue!

It has all the earmarks of Aliens Made Them Do It, but it could certainly go in any direction whatsoever.  And, in fact, multiple directions, which is the beauty of the fic tree format.  Explanations of how the format works are contained in the community profile.

Here's what I posted:

When they brought Daniel into the room his face was pale, and his eyes, when they met Jack’s, were anxious. Which… seemed wrong. His face should be red, with either anger or embarrassment due to his nudity, and his eyes… yeah, gonna go with angry as a default there.

 

Of course the erection he was sporting could explain a lot. Because, (a) he was sporting it, in front of Jack and the rest of his team and a few dozen assorted aliens who meant them no good, and (b) anything that big presumably required a whole lot of blood to drain in a southerly direction.

 

Jack liked those ideas better than the other one that forced itself into his mind: they’d given Daniel something to produce that erection and it was affecting him badly. Pallor and anxiety could mean that he was about to crash and he sensed it.
