Disaster narrowly averted!
Jul. 19th, 2011 09:06 amI have a tree service coming this morning to take out one tree and trim another. I thought I heard a truck, so I went to the back door, but there was nothing there. Walking back to the front I saw the lawn service truck parked outside my house.
NO NO NO
I ran outside and stopped the guy before he could start spraying. If I hadn't decided that it was worth the extra humidity to open my doors and let some markedly cooler air in, I would never have heard his truck over the sound of the fan blowing in my ear. And they always claim that they knock/ring before they get started, but I know that's not quite true.
I would have had to send the tree people away. "Come back in 24 hours."
Whew.
