I established in the very first fic I wrote that Jack didn't like the blindfold and only wore it to please Daniel. And in my How It All Began series Jack said that he hated blindfolds even as a kid. Can't you just see Young Jack making excuses not to participate in 'Pin the Tail on the Donkey'?
