This is great! Wonderful explanation for why Daniel chose "Jim." Even though Daniel couldn't remember who Jack was, Daniel's subconscious apparently still had certain associations with him.
(Somewhat ironically, I was watching Threads prior to logging on to lj, and Anubis tells Daniel to call him "Jim." Later, Anubis calls Daniel "Danny boy." It really makes me wonder what kind of mind games Anubis was playing with Daniel before Daniel figured out who "Jim" really was).
