I was in the mood for something a bit dark, but I can't imagine myself ever ending a fic on a sour note.
It was a lot worse than Daniel imagined, (emotionally, I mean) but I'm sure he would have willingly done it again in the future if Jack hadn't said, "Let's not."
So, to summarize, bitter Jack, sweet Daniel, sappy Sid. :-)
