What would you miss?

Something on tonight's season finale of Boston Legal happened to remind me of an incident from the remote past... about 1984, I think it was.  I was dating a guy who was convinced that the Soviets were going to attack the U.S. with nukes.  (Hey, I was right!  I knew that wasn't gonna happen.)

Anyway, his plan was to escape into the mountains, or some such survivalist nonsense, and take me with him.

And my sekrit reaction was: what would be the point of surviving the apocalypse?  Because, hey, there would be no baseball and no soap operas. 

OK, my tastes have changed in the intervening decades.  What would I miss now?  Would the Internet survive?  Would there be shiny new slash to read?  What would I do without my cooking shows to point me at new ingredients and recipes?

OMG, there HAVE to be more SG-1 movies!!!

So what would you miss to the point that simply surviving would lose its luster?

I'm an information junkie so for me not having access to information via the internet or television would make be bonkers very quickly. (do you have ANY idea how many times a day I'm on Wikipedia or IMDB? lol)

Entertainment-wise I would have to say that if the bombs dropped before the end of this final Battlestar Galactica season I would be REALLY upset not to know who the final Cylon is ^_^

My flist, my slash, pickling beetroot in my kitchen, hugging my friends, the possibility of no sequel to Maybe It Was Memphis, kicking through leaves in October, because presumably the trees would have withered, and never finding out whether Alan and Denny finally come to realise that there can never be anyone else for either of them.
To lose any/all of the above? Nah. Take me with the first bomb.

Books, yes, much better to be post-apocalyptically stranded near a library than off in the mountains somewhere.
