Jack was lying on his side. Daniel was moving slowly and rhythmically behind him. Their hands were clasped together at Jack’s hip. The rain, which had been falling all day, pattered against the windows and drummed softly on the roof. Daniel’s panted exhalations brushed against Jack’s neck.
