I know, I've been quiet lately.  I've been busy and spending less time on the computer.  Right now I'm just going to throw random things at you.  *g*

1. Prompts that are due on Monday at sg1_five_things :

Five things Daniel put on a grocery list for Jack to buy.

2. Michael Shanks really opened the Stargate casting floodgate on 24.  This season we started with Coombs and Tanith, last week we had Atlantis's Michael, and Tomin is going to be around for at least one more episode.  I love it!

3. I like Kings.  A lot.  Just think of the slash potential - I mean, we're talking about David and Jonathan here! 

Have they cancelled it yet?  :-/

(sidenote: did they have to make Jonathan into 'Jack'?  Srsly, I have more fannish Jacks than I can keep straight.  Aubrey, Bauer, Harkness, O'Neill and now Benjamin.  *sighs*  It makes it hard to keep my icons organized!)

4. Dollhouse is definitely beginning to show the master's touch now.  :-)

5. Castle is a lot of fun.  Nathan is always fun to watch.  And he can deliver a line so that you'd think it was written by the master.  *points up*  His daughter has totally not annoyed me yet, and I like the actress playing his mom.

I'm enjoying Castle. Fillion is perfect as the smart alecky womanizing thriller author. I like the actress playing the cop, as well as the cop character herself. So far the supporting cast have been good too. I plan to keep watching.

Yes, I forgot to mention the cop! I'm liking her, too. Her minions are still sort of blanks to me, but that'll change. :-)

I am hard at work on my prequel to "The Inside Man and the Outside Man" and trying to find time to rewatch a bunch of SG1 in preparation for my Teal'c ficathon fic, which is due May 1.

I am sadly derelict in participating in Five Things. I lose.

Tonight I did manage to catch an episode of ST:TOS on a syndication channel. The love; it is huge.

Real time TV, yes! Or recorded and delayed by a day or two, sometimes. But I'm not waiting for them to come out on DVD or anything, hee!

I haven't been writing at all except for the odd comment!fic. That used to be because I was wasting time, now I have no time! (I might write a K/S prompt over at commentfic. Alien love pollen, anyone? *g*)

comment fic seems to have become a huge popular trend lately on LJ in the fandoms i follow. i envy those for whom it works; it doesn't work for me at all. I'm so grateful when people repost. but then I figured out a long time ago that I am a MUTANT!!!

how is you Bjorn fic coming? Percolating, I hope?

It was a hoot to see ST. It was "Shore Leave", which is a pretty wacky episode and it was so funny to see how much of a shoutout SG-1's "Gamekeeper" episode was back to it.

I love those ST guys, though. They rocked.

Ooh! "Shore Leave" is one of my most favoritest Treks ever! I was 12 or 13 when it first aired. :-)

I have 2 or 3 Bjorn scenes in my head, and I really need to get them written... but there will still be a problem getting into and out of those scenes. I should just try to write something crappy and then ask for help to improve it. *g* Maybe I can devote an hour or so to Bjorn today.

I adore original trek. The sexism hits me in the face like a dead fish, though -- amazing how oblivious I was to it as a child and how obvious it seems now. I guess it's good that times indeed have changed some.

It's sunday and it's snowy and I have to take the kids shopping but hope to put in some more time on my gambler prequel today. I deserve a reward for dusting Allergy Child's bedroom, I think....

I saw your post and my head met the desk. I have been up to my eyebrows with Jack/Daniel hooker!fic and my own almost-ever-after J/D fic that I forgot!

Hmmm...maybe I can come up with a not-so-stupid-sounding grocery list in the next 24+ hours.

I like Kings too. Like a lot. I have yet to watch Dollhouse though, which is strange, because I'm a huge fan of Joss's other shows.

*waves back* The last two chats were the first ones I've been in since last year. I finally got a DVD player upstairs by the computer. I may have to look over my shoulder, but that beats just listening to the soundtrack coming from the player downstairs!

I haven't watched tonight's Kings yet. Dare I hope for slash? Jack takes David out for a night on the town? Eeee!
