The News

I'm moving.  I've been saying this for a long time, but now it's actually happening.

The moving van comes next Tuesday afternoon, and I'll move on Wednesday or Thursday, depending on whether my brother needs my help Wednesday, and when, to load some of my things onto his truck.

I'll be moving into my dad's house temporarily until we can find a place for the two of us, and then we'll be trying to get his house ready to sell.  This will involve a LOT of dumpsters, just for starters.  Oy.  But I shouldn't be thinking about that now.  One thing at a time!

I've already done a lot of packing, and moved some stuff up to his house, and I picked up 25 book boxes today.  I've constructed 8 of them so far and filled 6 with paperbacks.  Good start.  Paperbacks are essentially done.  \o/

And what could be better accompaniment to shoving books, etc. into boxes than podfic of Salieri's Real Boys and Real Worlds Due South AUs?  :-)

I'm going to have to construct a flow chart to make sure I get everything done, on time and in the proper order.  For example, I have to rent a pump and drain my waterbed. *g*  And when do I unplug my PC?  Meep!

So, this is why I've been a bit more quiet than normal recently, and why you should expect more of the same.

Just bear with me while I have a nervous breakdown.  :-D

good luck. someone from LJ moved a few months ago, some of their stuff was put into the wrong (empty) appartment & they had a box of DVDs stolen. i recomend labeling such boxes as "kitchen stuff" or something.

Real Boys just got me through packing most of my books. :-)

There's still one shelf of BIG books to go. Then come the VHS tapes and CDs and DVDs. I think if I crank up my volume all the way I should be able to listen from downstairs.

This is a mission without any Goa'uld, right? Otherwise I'm not setting foot through that Gate. *g*

A lot of work. *sighs* I've filled 14 book boxes in the last 24 hours, taken down and cleaned the pictures in 3 rooms, got my bathroom mostly packed up and not quite broken my back yet. *fingers crossed*

I'll still be loitering around just about every day. Gotta have my fix! (and rest occasionally!)
