Just over five years, and it's my first fandom so there's nothing to compare it to.

Anyway, I've had RL distracting me, and not in good ways, so it's impossible to judge how much I might have gotten written under other circumstances.

I think there's still plenty of J/D to explore. Seasons I've barely touched! Tropes to stand on their heads! Adventures in my D/s universe! 1921 AUs!

But I have realized that, without live canon, inspiration is less likely to just jump into my head - I have to concentrate a little more to come up with ideas. Probably why prompt!fic works for me - somebody else comes up with the idea. :-)

To clarify a little on that last bit: with J/D the ideas used to just flow into my head all the time, while with something like John/Rodney I would have to do a little 'free association' type thinking before something would strike me. So I'm accustomed to writing both ways. The second is more of a deciding-to-write.

Of course, the 1921 AU just flowed into my head while I was driving....
