The best thing I can say about this is that RDA wasn't the worst actor involved, although he was mighty bad.

It was a planned spinoff of The Facts of Life, wherein Tootie's aunt is married to a white man.

I had already seen part of this a while back, and mostly giggled at the amazing youthful dreadfulness.

On reflection, I think it's much easier to watch with the sound off. I also have my doubts as to whether it would actually be possible not to be awful in the circumstances.
