This was excellent! I have been thinking about people's reactions to finding out so this really hit the spot.
The bit where Jack doubled up on pain in reaction to the love in Daniel's voice was very powerful.
I seem to be interpreting Sam's reaction differently than the commenters on DW. I thought she was thrown into self-doubt because of the feelings she had for Jack and her belief that he returned them.
I'm sure Hammond will warm back up as soon as Walter works his magic on him. ;-)
Hmm, maybe not Sam believing that Jack returned her feelings, but believing that he was the type of man who could? That would definitely have her doubting her womanly intuition as well as her professional relationship with her team.
I'm sorry, Walter does not appear in this story. ;-)
