5,375 words on my Cam!trope fic. w00t! That adds another 1500 or so to what I added day before yesterday. And then I realized that I haven't lined up anyone to beta read it for me when it's completed.
The majority is done. Maybe another thousand words max? And it won't be due until Nov. 2nd. You can read all about the premise of the ficathon at
cm_tropefic or
cm_tropefic.
I selected Quantum Mirror as my trope. It's going to be R rated, and if you're at all interested in beta-ing, I can let you have more details before you commit. :-)

I've been getting spam email from my own dreamwidth email account, with subject lines like: where have you been? when will we meet again?
I decided after 3 or 4 of those that they were creepy enough to do something about, so I blocked receipt. A little while ago I got one of those emails that you get when an email you sent doesn't go through? Except it was showing me the email that was blocked from reaching me. I may have blocked receipt too soon, sounds like things were about to get interesting - the subject line of this one was: have a concrete thing in pants!
Well, hopefully this will discourage the sender for good. *shrugs*

I'm up at Dad's this week. We went to the Great Lakes Brew Fest on Saturday and had a wonderful time. He had such a good time that he fell trying to get into the car when it was time to go home. ;-) He didn't get hurt, though, and there were half a dozen people there instantly to help him up. We got lucky when we arrived, because the parking lot was roped off as being full, but an attendant saw Dad holding his Handicapped Parking thingie and went to see if there were any of those spots left. Wound up smack dab in front of the building we wanted.
Tonight there was a Fall Festival right across the street (we're half a block off a business district). Bought some stuff at the Farmer's Market (mostly things I won't eat, lol, although I did buy some garlic and sugar snap peas), sampled a few beers and carried some hot dogs back home with us for supper. Ooh, a
link! I met the lady in pink who painted the little pumpkins. We talked about celery root, (right behind the painted pumpkins) but I couldn't bring myself to buy any. Be fun to try some one day, though. She said it's much more common in Europe than it is here.
