I investigated what happens when you decide you want to make a manual payment rather than set up automatic payments on LJ:
Renew With Automatic Payments OR Make A Manual Payment choices are given.
Two separate places to click.
IT DOES NOT MATTER WHICH BUTTON YOU CLICK ON, YOU GET TAKEN TO THE AUTO-PAYMENT OPTION.
I select Manual, and the next screen that comes up is for auto-payment enrollment. You have to click on a different tab at the top of the box to get to the One Time Payment option.
No wonder I had no idea I was enrolling in auto-payment! THAT WAS NOT THE CHOICE I SELECTED.
