Wow. I have four five things due in a twelve nineteen day span starting Oct. 22nd 15th. (Edited because I completely forgot about the SGC Alphabet Soup entry that's due on the 15th. Fortunately it's already written. *g*)

1. J/D Ficathon is due first. I have my idea and I've done some research. I'm ready to rock. ETA: 2373 words as of 9-23

2. Spook Me is second, on 10-26. Received my two secret image prompts around 2 am, and I just finished writing it! Those were damn good prompts. :-)

3. Kink Bingo ends 10-31. I just have one half-completed (three years ago!) story to finish up to complete my bingo.

4. Journey Story Big Bang rough draft is due Nov. 2nd. So I need to be about 70% done, with a summary attached of the missing bits. Then hopefully I'll get picked up by an artist! I have 4k out of a minimum 10k done, so I need to get working on this.

Plus I have the plans in place for finishing up the sequel that I Wordled a couple days ago, and I certainly want to get that one done, too. ETA: 2100 words added = DONE! So it's a very good thing that fic_rush is coming up this weekend! If you have some writing you need to get done, don't mind hanging out on LJ, and could use some fun, friendly encouragement (and company in your misery/joy/procrastination), feel free to drop in at fic_rush_48's hourly posts throughout the weekend to join in! Things start Friday evening here in the U.S., and the whole thing runs from 0000 GMT Saturday through 0000 GMT Monday.

I have been blindingly busy with real life, but when I get around to writing again the stuff at the top of my brain is your fic tree, a sheppard/jackson/O'neill threesome thing that is very clear in my head, and i have to rewatch season 4 so I can write Hometown Boy.

I got a comment on Hometown Boy admonishing me for getting the cell phone design and timeline wrong. *eyeroll*

the weird thing was, after i read the comment, i did some research and i think I wasn't wrong!!! But that really seems an odd thing to nitpick you know?

Yep. Just checked it out. This commenter has a history of nit-picking what she/he sees as errors. I've seen it with this person and quite a few SG authors. S/he doesn't write, just seems to enjoy reading through fics, saying he/she "enjoyed it but I did notice ..."

S/he queried my rating on one fic, saying it wasn't explicit at all. It wasn't. I didn't rate it explicit; it was rated mature. I explained the rating and the reasons for it but had no response.

You are not alone ...

Hopefully this person works in healthcare or airline mechanics where a nitpicky level of perfectionism is actually just what we want! :)

I find that when I actually sit down and DO IT, it still comes easily most of the time. For my own particular meaning of 'easy' that would drive other folks crazy. *g* I just have to make myself START.
