I'm sure Jennifer is whereever Rodney is, but not doing anything worthy of being mentioned in a quick summary, I guess. Carson takes charge of medical Research and Development, so she's probably still there as head doctor.

Halfway through I was thinking the ship was John/Todd. Ah, well. The actual ship sounds tacked on, as per usual for the Boys from Bridge. :-/

All of which makes me glad the SG-1 movie never saw the light of day. They can't help themselves with their shippy endings, can they? *sigh*

I don't think the SG-1 script got as far along the writing process as the Atlantis one. And I don't want any any more hints about what was in there. What I've heard is more than enough. ;-)

All I heard was that the third SG1 movie would have been Jack centric, and I heard some rumor that it did have Jack/Sam in it for realz?

Yep, I heard those things, plus the fact that the story focused on the Stargate program going public. While I'm all for Jack-centric, and I like the idea of the program going public, I don't trust the writers to make a decent job of it.

I never "bought" Teyla/John; I liked John/Elizabeth much better.

I'm glad they were going to send Atlantis back to Pegasus, and I'm glad the plot included Todd.

But I am so tired of time travel stories!

Oh, and Atlantis was supposed to be the moon base that Sam references in Continuum, so this movie would have come after that one.

The only Teyla/John that was ever on the screen at all was when they first met, as far as I can see. A sort of spark of interest and an easy connection. Something that had the potential to possibly go somewhere...but NEVER DID. Sheesh.

Yeah, I'm not actually against Teyla/John, but I never thought she would go for him, to be honest.

I saw what you saw -- instant friendship, and then there was that yucky part when he was turning into a bug. Their friendship worked for me, honestly.

I'm rather happy he has nada to do with Stargate these days other that teasing/taunting the fandom.

I think MGM will eventually revive it in some fashion, but by that time they'll want a new group of people in charge.

I hope it comes back in some form, someday. And I'll try not to be cranky about the new kids on my lawn, lol.

There are two major problems involved in a revival. (1) MGM declared bankruptcy, which delayed or completely killed some projects and is limiting what they can do in the near future. (2) The last show tanked. It only got two seasons because that was a part of the contract with SyFy, who probably thought they had a surefire winner by melding concepts from nuBSG with the Stargate name.

I think time will eventually allow a reboot to happen, but who knows what angle they will take? MGM owns the original Stargate movie and the characters outright, which means they could crank out a new show featuring Jack, Daniel, and any other characters from the original movie. Or only the Stargate might remain with a completely different concept.

I know Mallozzi and his co-hort Mullie were some of the many former Stargate TPTB were hired to work on the new "Transporter: The Series" show, but left as showrunners three weeks into it due to "creative differences" which is the generic nice way to let someone go. I hate to say it, but it felt a bit like karma at work.

The tanking of SGU at least shows them where not to go, when they're choosing a direction. If.

They'll never trickle away...if you read who replies you'll see that most of them use his blog as a way to talk about themselves most of the time...it's a small clique of people who feel that they're now part of his "select" group of friends - rather like many fangirls on Twitter with Michael/Lexa et al - 90% of them are probably from the old GW days and are exlusively shippers...hardly a week goes by without one, dear ol' Majorsal asking when MGM will be doing a third film so she can get her Sam/Jack "confirmation"....

He knows that this is the only way he'll keep what is actually a very very small group of people now....this lot won't trickle away....they will be there at the end of the apocalypse waiting for that wedding on the ramp when they wheel out a 70 yr old Jack O'Neill out to marry and make baybeees with Sam ...*snort*...


I, for my sins, have replied to him a few times, but mainly to "plug" Michael's stuff and mention Vancouver a few times...but even I'm weaning myself of that now.....

My god that man can talk bollox for Canada can't he?.....he's only there to wind up the last remaining shippers from both programmes and seems to spend more time pretending to be some cookie monster as he spouts bile reviews old superhero movies...


Oh and his restaurant reviews have turned from semi-interesting to pretentious posturing.....I haven't visited one of his recommendations and probably 95% of Vancouver's dining elite haven't either....

I followed his blog for a little while, having begun with the impression "Cool! This guy has an actual relationship with fandom!" This very, very quickly turned into the discovery "This guy has a COMPLETELY DYSFUNCTIONAL relationship with fandom, and I for one am dumping him NOW because I love my fandom too much to let toxic bastards like this poison my space."
