20 Things, G to R rated, House and SG-1
Sep. 12th, 2006 11:50 amFive times Wilson really wished the hospital didn't have glass walls. For
wraith816
1. The time House was so viciously condescending that Wilson came thisclose to smacking his smug face.
2. The time House was so vicious, period, that Wilson almost let the tears fall. He didn’t care about showing weakness in front of House. But any casual passerby?
3. The time, all the times, really, that he just wanted to lock himself in his office, and light up some medical marijuana, and just smoke away all the stress of the day. Oncology can be a total bummer, dude.
4. Sometimes he saw things that he didn’t want to see. Sometimes he just violated people’s privacy without them even knowing it. He hated that. And if it was Cameron and House, he hated it even more, and he forced his eyes away. Even though they were just talking, he didn’t want to see their faces, her face, yes, all right, his face when they were alone together. He didn’t want to know.
5. The time that he lost the 11 year old leukemia patient who had been in remission for three years, and House had hovered around his office like a nervous hummingbird, exhibiting behavior that in any normal person would have manifested itself as helpless hand-wringing. With House, what he got was an update on today’s soap opera episode. Accompanied by almost-shy glances from those wonderful blue eyes.
House didn’t do emotion very well. Wilson, on the other hand, was nearly overcome with affection and gratitude. If not for the glass walls, he would have been out of his chair, and across the floor, and kissing his best friend. Or, certainly hugging him, at least. In retrospect, it was probably just as well, about the glass walls. Probably.

Five different things Daniel has placed in Jack's mouth, and what Jack said afterwards. For
starting_gate
1. Pills
Jack’s hands had been injured, and were heavily bandaged. He could pick up a sandwich with both hands and eat it, and he could pick up a glass with both hands and drink from it. But he couldn’t pick up the tiny pain pills that Janet had prescribed. So Daniel would put them into Jack’s mouth, and Jack would wash them down with water. Afterwards, he would say “Thanks”, until Daniel begged him to please stop the constant litany of thank yous.
Because there was so much Jack couldn’t do for himself. He couldn’t bathe himself, or dress himself fully. He managed to use the toilet, and clean himself afterwards. That wasn’t easy or comfortable, but he drew the line at having Daniel wipe his bottom. He couldn’t make the sandwiches he ate, and he certainly couldn’t brush his teeth afterwards.
2. Toothbrush
It took several tries before Daniel found the optimum technique for brushing another person’s teeth. He tried standing next to Jack, in front of him, even behind him. They finally settled on Jack sitting in a chair, head slightly back, with a towel strategically draped to catch errant toothpaste drool.
After the very first time Daniel brushed Jack’s teeth, Jack spat into the sink, and, as he picked up a towel, said, “Do it harder next time.”
To which Daniel responded with a waggling of his eyebrows. Jack’s one-word response was swallowed up by the towel, but his eyes were fond as he said it.
3. A sock
It was an improvised, spur-of-the-moment gag, but Daniel couldn’t really relax and enjoy the sex, because he kept worrying that Jack might somehow swallow it. But Jack’s eyes remained calm, and the enticingly muffled noises he made were deliberate, not desperate.
Afterwards, Jack pulled the soggy thing out of his mouth, and dropped it on the floor. “Water,” he said.
4. A spoon
Daniel fed Jack entire meals of soft food. Applesauce, ice cream, yogurt, clear soups.
Jack didn’t say anything afterwards. He was in a coma. A mild coma; 13 out of 15 points on the Glasgow Coma Scale. His eyes were frequently open, and he could obey simple commands, such as “swallow”, but awareness of self and environment were virtually nonexistent.
It was progress, though. He had only recently been upgraded from a 12, when he began to utter the occasional, random word. It had been a long week for Daniel, for everyone. But Jack progressed steadily, and Janet‘s prognosis was guardedly optimistic.
Daniel was solidly convinced that everything was going to be all right. He just wished Jack would hurry up. He didn’t know how much more he could take of looking into his lover’s eyes, and seeing no one looking back.
5. Himself
Daniel would never forget the first blowjob Jack gave him. He had slid himself into Jack’s mouth very slowly, and Jack had opened to him in a way that said, ‘I’ve done this before; I’m ready; don’t hold back.’
After that, Daniel couldn’t have held back if he’d wanted to. It was over much too quickly, but it was those first few seconds that lived in Daniel’s happiest memories.
Afterwards, Jack had licked his lips lasciviously, and said, “My turn.”

Five ways Jack and Daniel might have kissed for the first time. For
_minxy_
1. On Klorel’s ship, when Daniel said, “I’ll stay and watch your backs.” Jack’s heart swelled and broke, and he leaned forward and hoped his brief kiss said all the things that there would now never be time to say.
And, by a miracle, he was able to find out later that it had.
2. It was the first time Daniel had been alone with Jack at his house since his descension. They ate their dinner, and then went out onto the deck with their snifters of brandy to watch the sunset. As the pinks and oranges faded towards violet, Daniel confessed, “These days I’m finding moments like this just heartstoppingly beautiful.”
Jack reached over and took Daniel’s glass away, putting it down carefully next to his own. Daniel looked at him with smiling confusion. “Me, too,” Jack said solemnly, before wrapping his arms around Daniel and kissing him until they were both breathless.
3. On Ernest’s Planet, Daniel simply would not listen. He saw only the vast knowledge to be gained, not the danger of never being able to share it with anyone. Of being trapped alone. Forever.
“How can I not stay?” he cried loudly, waving his arm as if to display the wonders contained in this place.
Jack grabbed him, and kissed him hard. Daniel looked at him, stunned beyond words. “I’m not leaving you here,” Jack snarled. “Don’t you ask me to do that.”
Daniel came along meekly.
4. Aliens made them do it. Literally. Used their strange alien mental powers to control and manipulate their bodies. “Sorry,” Jack whispered, his face flushing as he took Daniel slowly into his arms.
“Don’t worry about it,” Daniel said, eyeing their captors. “They’re just trying to humiliate us, so try not to give them too much satisfaction.”
Jack took hold of Daniel’s chin, and leaned closer. “How much is too much?”
Daniel’s eyes glimmered with humor. “Does this seem awfully familiar to you?”
“What, you mean like, have I thought about it before?”
“Um, no. Um.” Daniel blinked rapidly. “No, I was just thinking that this is a total Star Trek moment.”
“Ah!” Jack got it. “So, which one of us is Kirk, and which is Uhura?”
It was some time before Daniel was free to answer, and by then they had both forgotten the question.
5. Daniel put down his bag and looked around what he could see of Jack’s cabin. “This is nice,” he said sincerely.
“You like it?” Jack said, pleased. “Your room’s over there.” As Daniel bent over to pick up his bag, he heard Jack add, “I’m glad that you’re here.”
And there was just something in his tone of voice that made Daniel straighten slowly, empty-handed, and look at him searchingly. And what he saw made him catch his breath, and take a step forward. But then he stopped. Froze, if the truth be told.
Then Jack took a step, but he stopped, too, and simply stared at Daniel with his heart in his eyes. And Daniel took hold of his courage with both hands, walked to where Jack stood, and, shaking, kissed him.
It was the best fishing trip imaginable.

Five Television Shows that Jack and Daniel Like To Watch Together. For
ivorygates
1. 24
It’s not that they think Jack Bauer has it easy, because that’s clearly not the case. It’s just that Bauer only has to save Los Angeles, or maybe the United States. So, while they can enjoy the intrigue, and the cliffhangers, and the paranoia, they also can feel just a little bit superior. They’ve saved the entire planet.
2. Boston Legal
They both think Alan and Denny should just do it already. Jack, in fact, shouts that at the screen. Frequently. And Jack also thinks that Spader guy is kind of hot. Daniel can’t quite see it.
3. Desperate Housewives
Daniel thinks the whole show is rather silly, but it’s a harmless way to waste an hour. Jack thinks that Teri Hatcher is a hoot and a half.
4. House
“If he doesn’t start treating Wilson better, he’s going to lose him,” Jack says. Daniel just smiles and cuddles a little closer.
5. The Simpsons
Every new episode is An Event in Jack’s life. So Daniel wants to be there. And he likes Lisa. Also, at times, he can absolutely relate to Marge. Absolutely.

Date: Sep. 13th, 2006 01:48 pm (UTC)And then he would want to tell Teal'c to 'kick it up a notch,' and, well...
There's another great Food Show - I'm not sure if it's on the Food Network - that's about Traditional Foods Of Our Culture (such as Twinkies) and the show explores their history and development, and shows us their modern methods of manufacture. Oh, god, they did a whole ep on Krispy Kremes....
I'm not sure whether Jack would enjoy that, or would feel that it 'spoiled the mystique.' I think Daniel would pretend to disapprove, but wouldn't be able to resist the temptation to explain what it said about our culture. Teal'c would just be fascinated, and Sam would suggest improvements to the technology.
