Sometimes the Five Things flow, and sometimes they do not. I had a request from
starting_gate for "Five times Spock called Kirk Jim, not Captain." K/S! The fathers of all things slashy!! And I just couldn't come up with anything. *hangs head* If any of you who are reading this would like to toss out a thing or 2 or more in the comment section for her, I'd be grateful. *looks grateful*
Meanwhile, on to the SG-1, SGA, and Man from U.N.C.L.E.
5 things Daniel loves about Jack that he will NEVER admit to.
For
msbeata
1. The way his hair sticks up. Daniel finds it endearing. Put the man in dress blues, a tuxedo, a suit. Everything neat and sharp, polished and formal. And then top it off with the hair that sticks up in untameable tufts and there you have his Jack.
2. His frequent childishness. Kind of annoying at times, but whenever Daniel thinks about the hollow, damaged man he first met, his heart is glad that Jack is capable of acting like a child.
3. His contradictions. A career Air Force officer who is staunchly anti-establishment. An efficient killer who has a surefire way with kids and dogs. A perceived goof-ball who commands total respect.
4. His tenderness. Not that Jack hasn’t more than likely figured it out, but Daniel’s not going to come right out and say it. He just soaks it up like a sponge.
5. His hands. Not just for all that they can do, and all the pleasure they bring him when they’re making love. Not just for their strength and warmth. He finds the minor deformity of Jack’s thumbs attractive. He’s never been sure why. Maybe just because it is uniquely Jack. His Jack.

5 things Jack loves about Daniel that he will NEVER admit to.
Also for
msbeata
1. His toes. He’ll admit to liking Daniel barefoot, but he’s not mentioning the whole sexy toes thing. He has an image to think about.
2. The way he comes alive when he’s lecturing. Jack loves the look he gets on his face as he enthusiastically shares his knowledge, but he doesn’t want to encourage him. More lectures would not be a good thing.
3. The stupid look he can get sometimes, when his mouth hangs open and he does that blinky thing. Jack loves life too much to ever mention that one.
4. The way he never gives up. Again, Jack doesn’t actually want to encourage him in this, for fear it may somehow bite him in the ass one day. But he clings to the belief that Daniel will never, ever give up on him. Sometimes it’s all that gets him through the day.
5. His mind. He loves that his lover is a genius, and that Daniel chooses to be with him. Not that he thinks there’s any correlation there. He’ll skirt the edge of this one, and he’ll hint at it, but he will never come out and say it directly. It would only embarrass Daniel.

5 Ways John Sheppard Took Advantage of Having the ATA Gene
For
fenellaevangela
1. In the beginning, he used it to spend more time with the prickly but intriguing Dr. McKay. You need someone to experiment on? Here I am. Talk to me.
2. He felt special when the city would respond to him like he was one of her own. He explored, looking for neat stuff, finding ways that he could show off a little. Then he’d go find McKay. Want to see something cool?
3. After so many people got the artificial gene, he stopped fooling around. He’d been just playing up until then. Now he worked to master his abilities, not wanting to get passed by. And he offered to coach the newbies. Well, one in particular. He and Rodney spent a lot of their downtime together during this period, which was very nice.
4. He locked his door, dimmed the lights, and cued the soft music all without looking away from Rodney’s eyes. It took a lot of focus. He could tell that Rodney was impressed. Soon, Rodney was even more impressed, but that had nothing to do with the ATA gene.
5. He remained the science department’s favorite guinea pig, because, quite simply, nobody else approached his level of ease and competence with Ancient technology. That served as a valid excuse for him to be in the lab on a semi-regular basis, which meant that he could get his Rodney-fix throughout the day. But, really, wasn’t he just letting them take advantage of his good nature? Anyway, it was all in the interests of science, which meant it was for the good of the Expedition.
That’s his story, and he’s sticking to it.

Date: Sep. 13th, 2006 11:23 pm (UTC)I'm sure some writers could have come up with five knee-slappingly hilarious ways that Shep took advantage of his ATA gene, but I actually couldn't think of any. :-)
Some of what's being produced comes down to individual style, some to the prompts being worked with, and some is all about staring blankly at the monitor until you come up with SOMETHING! Anything! LOL
