Writer's Meme: Sometimes it's ok to pimp yourself out. Post a list of your top five fics favorite you've written, regardless of fandom or the reason you love them. This isn't about the BEST things you've written, but what you LOVE most. Then tag five other people to do the same.

The Outrage
It's John/Rodney. I gave it a G rating, but I'll revise that upwards to a PG. I don't want to say too much, for anyone who hasn't read it yet. But I still believe I was the first to tackle this subject matter head-on, as it were. And I don't think I've ever gotten so much feedback. It was astonishing, considering how little known I am in the Atlantis fandom.
Nightscape
This story is Daniel in late Season One, and his dreams are very revealing. Rated R. Het and slash. I was trying to fall asleep when the idea came to me, and the entire piece turned out to be strange and beautiful. It was only after I finished it that I saw patterns and underlying meanings that I had no idea I was writing. I should let my subconscious mind write more often.
Striking Image
It's just a drabble, but it launched an entire AU! I've no idea where the concept came from, but I love the way it's structured. I gave it an R, but it looks pretty NC-17 in retrospect. BDSM. J/D squared. I need to visit these boys, soon.
ETA: This drabble actually launched two AUs.

Dining "Out"
Jack invites Daniel to dinner, and the romantic overtones make their waiter leap to conclusions. Rated G and meant to be a stand-alone. But it launched a series that I adore. And this first story simply leapt into my head and had to be written immediately. No story has ever been this easy to write. It just flew onto the page. Also? As a very cool aside, this got translated into German by a woman in Austria, and I had so much fun with my German/English dictionary trying to decipher the feedback.
Intensity
Huh. I have never posted this to LJ? That's so hard to believe! So the link is to Area 52. This is NC-17 J/D PWP BDSM, OK? This is the story that led me to some pretty wonderful friendships with some very perverted people. (You all know who you are. THING! IS IS IS!) And they led me here to LJ. How could I not include it on this list? And I definitely must post it to LJ toot sweet.
Tagging anybody who's interested! :-)

Date: Mar. 9th, 2007 12:55 am (UTC)The Intensity Series and How It All Began, are the best BDSM I’ve ever read. You do a great job explaining the motivations, and manage to make it all believable to me. Hotness, well, just - yes!
Dining Out is one of my all-time favorites, in J/D fandom. Wonderful banter, voices and story. So much of it could be right out of an episode. I love this fic!
I’m glad I got to know you, it’s been a pleasure. :)

Heck, *I* didn't have an lj when Intensity and Dining "Out" came out! And I still need to post Intensity here, and crosspost to a couple of communities. I can't believe I never realized I hadn't done that! The people who dragged me kicking and screaming to lj were friends I met as a direct result of that story.
It's been a pleasure getting to know you as an individual, and as someone whose love for SG-1 and J/D is still fresh and happy, when so many other folks are wandering away to other fandoms. {{hugs}}
