Written for the sentinel_thurschallenge, Hero:

 

HERO AND SAVIOR

 

“Do you think I don’t realize how much I owe you? There’s no telling how I would have ended up if you hadn’t come along. I was losing my mind – I didn’t know what was wrong – I couldn’t cope, or control anything.”

 

“Jim.”

 

“No, I was losing it. I could have lost everything. My work, my life.”

 

“Jim.”

 

“Instead, thanks to you, I’ve found out who I really am. What I can accomplish using my senses. I’ve got real purpose, now. I can help people. You couldn’t begin to understand what that means….”

 

“Jim. That’s what makes you a hero.”

He would! There's that line in 'Survival' where the baddie shouts derisively, "All you need is a cape, Ellison".

Yeah, I remember that now!

But I think the tights are just as important. In fact the cape needs to be short enough that we can appreciate the tights properly. ;-)

Oh Cool! I'd almost forgotten how much I love Jim and Blair.
(Not as much as I love Jack and Daniel, of course, natch, but still ... they are kee-wt!)
