This was the meme:   Name any story I've written, and any character in it, canon or OC. I'll tell you three things about that character which I didn't put in the story.

1. Daniel had never lacked confidence in his abilities as a dom. But getting it right with Jack was the most important thing he’d ever undertaken. And not just because of their friendship, although that meant that he cared much more about Jack’s happiness and well-being than he’d ever cared about any previous partner. It was because of Jack’s job and position in the grand scheme of things. Earth needed Jack O’Neill at his best. Earth couldn’t afford for Daniel to fuck up. No pressure.

 

2. Jack in heavy bondage, struggling, was a beautiful sight. Jack, unbound, unmoving at Daniel’s order, was incredibly beautiful. Jack, groaning around a gag, truly beautiful. Jack, ungagged, straining to remain silent at Daniel’s order, heart-stoppingly beautiful. Jack, naked at Daniel’s feet, leaning against his leg, quiet and content…the most beautiful sight ever. It was ultimately that simple act of graceful submission that stole Daniel’s heart.

 

3. They haven’t experimented yet. Jack’s not ready. But Daniel’s convinced he soon will be. And ever since they compared notes with their alternate reality counterparts, Daniel’s had a growing desire to lie across Jack’s lap and be held in place with one strong arm while a broad, callused hand applies heat to his squirming ass….

1. When they were told that they had to have sex in order to be released, Sam wasn’t completely surprised. She’d been anticipating trouble of a sexual nature ever since the four of them had found themselves naked in a cell together. But it was a shock when she realized exactly what the aliens had in mind. Still, she’d rather it were all three of her teammates than any single one of those sons of bitches out there looking on and gloating.

 

2. It was totally inappropriate to the situation, but as Daniel was on top of her, being as gentle as humanly possible, Sam couldn’t help weeping hot, angry, bitter tears over the loss and utter destruction of her most cherished masturbatory fantasies.

 

3. When Daniel made his proposal to take her place, Sam nearly blacked out for a few seconds. Even the possibility of a reprieve was so overwhelming…and when the aliens agreed, when she begged Daniel not to do it, she was shaking with relief, because she knew it was as good as settled. But that didn’t mean that her plea wasn’t sincere.

1. Sometimes Daniel cursed Jack for making him into a heartless bastard who’d take advantage of a teammate, a friend. Other times Daniel thought that he wasn’t really taking advantage of Mitchell, that Mitchell was a big boy who’d be long gone if he’d happened to feel that way about it. And sometimes Daniel realized that Jack hadn’t made him into anything, that Jack couldn’t be held responsible for what unrequited love turned Daniel into. A love that Jack didn’t even know existed (although in his weakest moments Daniel thought that he did know, and had left town at least partly because of it).

 

2. Cute was the only word for Mitchell when he broached the subject of not using condoms anymore. Cute, anxious, a little tentative. Daniel didn’t like thinking about him in terms like that, because he always felt that it was a bit condescending of him. He wanted (needed) to keep a distance between them, but it had to be a horizontal distance, not a vertical one where he was looking down from some superior position. Anyway, he was perfectly fine with losing the condoms, but he would never have brought it up. He would never do anything that might act to tie Mitchell to him. But as long as it was Mitchell’s idea…Daniel hadn’t expected to be kissed for agreeing (and he’d hungered for Jack’s thin lips for too many years to settle for any others).

 

3. It hadn’t taken long for Daniel to stop closing his eyes and imagining that it was Jack in his bed. Partly because he couldn’t fool himself. Mitchell smelled like Mitchell, his skin felt like Mitchell’s, his cock didn’t have that sweet curve that Jack’s had. And partly because Daniel was enjoying himself more than he’d expected and looking at Mitchell turned out to give him a lot of pleasure, and the sounds that Mitchell made that didn’t sound in the least like Jack were still music to Daniel’s ears. (And the look and smell and feel and sound of Jack in the throes of lovemaking was still available to Daniel in his fantasies, and if sometimes Cam’s smile intruded, well, that was only natural and if it happened more frequently as time went on, well, that was only natural, too.)

I knew it would be worth it to look into Sam's mind in that story! #2 makes me hurt for Sam. #3 rings so true. And the juxtaposition of 1, 2, and 3 with the emotional flow from each in a finite space of time is very natural. She goes from Defiance to Grief to Relief. An SG-1 abbreviated version of the 7 stages of grief (http://www.proactivechange.com/psychotherapy/grief/stages.htm) perhaps?
