There are still a couple of 2007 stories that haven't been posted in my journal yet, but I did remember to count them towards my totals. All of these numbers are quick and dirty counts, but I'm sure none of you are going to page through my journal and demand corrections. ;-)

My best work of the year was undoubtedly to be found in Matinee and Idyll, which were lovely and striking examples of the hive mind at work.  

synecdochicwrote moving Cam!porn that inspired an idea in my brain that ivorygates incited me to write, and then feedback from charmedstrange1led me to a story by paian, who gave me a guided tour of her sandbox before kindly allowing me to play with her toys (i.e. remix her story).

If any of you avoided those stories because they weren't Jack/Daniel, I will tell you a secret if you promise to read them.  Promise?  Okay.  In the end, it really is all about the Jack/Daniel.

Apparently so! Of course most of my fics are fairly short ones, so I don't think my overall word count would impress anyone. But I tried some new things while still giving dear J/D the majority of my attention. :-)

It looks like a lot, doesn't it? I didn't do a round-up last year, so I can't compare the two. Let's see, this doesn't even include contributions to fic trees or "3 things I'll never write".

And even though most of my fics are short, it's still a relief to have evidence that they're not all drabbles! Goodness only knows what 2008 is going to be like. *shakes head*
