I remember experiencing 2 earthquakes in NY when I lived there. Kinda reminds you how small we are.

We had an earthquake a month or so ago. Quite big by British standards. It woke me at 1am. I was convinced the roof was falling in. Ruined a perfectly good night's sleep!

We get them all too often in the Pacific NW. Last big one some of my cabinets doors opened (from the heavy weight behind them) and I lost all my vases and lots of booze. (The latter landing on my poor goldfish's bowl.) :( I have a big fear of quakes, ever since the first one I was in at age six.
