... it's just on in the background, but...

Suckiest. Episode. Ever.

If you have to do a clip show, at least get some people who can act for the non-clip portions.

If you have to do a clip show, at least write something halfway decent for the non-clip portions.

If you have to do a clip show, at least try not to rip off Star Trek: The Next Generation.

If you must rip off Star Trek: The Next Generation (for a change, instead of your usual blatant Star Trek: Voyager ripoffs), give us Q.

At halfway point...this is a bit lame. Now, the reasons for the trial are valid. I cannot dispute that, but the delivery sucks.

It needs Q.

ST:NG yeah, its watching like that. First thing that came to my mind was Star Trek 6: The Undiscovered Country, when McKoy and Kirk were on trail. My mind...*shrugs*

I have it on in the background but I'm not really watching. Partly that's because I hate clip shows. Partly it's because I just finished and posted part three of the DaJaVa fic you started and [livejournal.com profile] jd_junkie continued. :D

Yay! Glad you liked it.

Sounds like I didn't miss anything while I was writing, either.

Oooooh, Lorne! I do like him. Dunno if I can stay awake for the next showing (had a horrendous work day) but I can always catch it in two weeks when it repeats.

I just knew it was going to be a dang clip show when I heard on the commercial that they were going on "trial". I can't stand that type of episode so I turned it off once the intro hit.

If you must rip off Star Trek: The Next Generation, give us Q.

Amen. Q makes anything better. :D

It really was painful. And utterly pointless too, especially considering that the show is canceled. What a waste of an episode.

Um, not that this was my favorite episode or anything, but they were almost at the end of filming when the cancellation happened, so I'm pretty sure it didn't have anything to do with that.

Clip shows usually have more to do with budget issues or (in ST:TNG's case) strikes or something. I know production planning for this season had to keep in mind the possibility of losing actors to a SAG strike, so perhaps this was a concession to "let's see how many eps we can get in the can before we lose all our actors". Also, it was a new writer and a new director, so that could have either been budget (new=cheaper) or timing (they're working while the A-team guys are doing other eps).

It's only just starting here. Any chance there was spanking type punishments involved? :o)

I wasn't watching this but talking on the phone to a friend who was watching and he mentioned the Star Trek rip off too!

geez, they had the returning audience from Daniel's appearance, you think the idiots would have taken advantage of that and put out something original.

AND eventhough I wasn't actually watching Santuary it seemed pretty familiar. We all know how plausible it is that while waiting for a rescue happening in less than 5hours then we should take naps. And because the temperature is well below freezing we shouldn't even consider huddling together for warmth. yep, it all makes perfect sense.

But I digress, you were talking about Stargate Atlantis, oops, sorry!

I liked that ep of Sanctuary better when it was John Carpenter's The Thing. Oh, and if Ms. Helen Do-Gooder Magnus is busy saving, protecting, and helping the "abnormals", why didn't she leave the Yeti alone in its habitat where it was safe and doing no harm? Why did she have to capture it and transport it half a world away to her secret lair? Meh.
