I'm not REALLY watching Atlantis...
Oct. 24th, 2008 09:18 pm... it's just on in the background, but...
Suckiest. Episode. Ever.
If you have to do a clip show, at least get some people who can act for the non-clip portions.
If you have to do a clip show, at least write something halfway decent for the non-clip portions.
If you have to do a clip show, at least try not to rip off Star Trek: The Next Generation.
If you must rip off Star Trek: The Next Generation (for a change, instead of your usual blatant Star Trek: Voyager ripoffs), give us Q.

Date: Oct. 27th, 2008 01:42 am (UTC)Clip shows usually have more to do with budget issues or (in ST:TNG's case) strikes or something. I know production planning for this season had to keep in mind the possibility of losing actors to a SAG strike, so perhaps this was a concession to "let's see how many eps we can get in the can before we lose all our actors". Also, it was a new writer and a new director, so that could have either been budget (new=cheaper) or timing (they're working while the A-team guys are doing other eps).

I still haven't sat down and really watched this yet. Tomorrow!
