So did we - but in our defense it was over 90 here today and the house was just miserably stuffy. The boxers were *not* liking the sudden heatwave. Me either if truth be told. bluck.

I am just plain a wimp at times. And menopause sucks. Freeze in the winter, bundle up, have a hot flash, strip down, adjust thermostat, bundle back up, freeze again, adjust thermostat, have a hot flash....

But it still beats the summer, when sometimes there's nothing to do except jump into a cold shower or melt!

Our high was 84, but it never got quite that warm indoors. It was 79 upstairs when I finally closed the windows and turned on the air. Heading towards 76 and already feeling marvellous. Ahhhhh.

I still have sweaters hanging on the back of my chair, because I was all bundled up just two days ago. *boggles*

101? Kill me now. I hate menopause. I was feeling wonderful a few minutes ago as the A/C moved the temp down towards 76, but then came a hot flash and I'm sitting here with sweaty hair on the back of my neck. *sighs*

So it's now 3 degrees cooler, with no humidity, and I'm sitting here with damp hair on the back of my neck. Again. Yes, hot flash for sure. But I'm cooler, just damp atm.

Wish my PC were under the ceiling fan. I only sit right under it when I watch TV.

I'm sitting here, under the ceiling fan, at my computer and watching NCIS on tv. :-) (The episode is "Bait" which has Michael Welch, aka, Mini-Jack in it. He's a very good actor.)

Well, I did spend my misspent youth playing in a symphony orchestra. I only have a few classical CDs, but I have mucho vinyl. I remember being thrilled to pieces when my parents gave me a boxed set of Beethoven's symphonies one year for Christmas when I was in HS.

I grew up listening to classical music. I wish I could find my Mozart DVDs. Neville Marriner and the Academy of St. Martin in the Fields. *The* *best* versions out there.

The A/C just came back on again. I don't think our system works very well. It was only off for like five minutes, and it's dark outside and can't be that hot.

I have a ceiling fan right over my bed, and during the summer I usually crank up the air right before retiring and then shut it off. AND turn the thermostat on my waterbed waaaay down.

This time of year, the temps at night drop to the low 70s or high 60s, so it helps. Plus, the people above me run their a/c a *lot*. That helps cool my 'roof'.

I wonder why I seem to get wimpier at night? Maybe I have more hot flashes then. It was obviously warmer up here 5 hours ago then it was when I caved and turned on the A/C 45 minutes ago.

Well, a couple of days ago it was in the 40s at night. I'm not sure what it's going to be tonight! I might need that ceiling fan.
