I caved.  All right?

I caved.  I know it's only April.

So did we - but in our defense it was over 90 here today and the house was just miserably stuffy. The boxers were *not* liking the sudden heatwave. Me either if truth be told. bluck.

Paddleboats for the win - although I don't honestly think that if I were stuck in a boat with those two that my temperature would actually go down

^.^

It's 80 in here right now. I don't let the a/c come on until it hits about 82 indoors.

Except at night.

At night I crank it down some.

Heh. Mine went on for the first time last week. It was 101. It was definitely a record for us though, AC before May.

I'm with you, sistah! Upper 80's / low 90's here. Hell yeah, the a/c is on.

We did too! It was over 90 today and all of us, especially the boxers, were miserable.

I hate sudden heatwaves. I'm alright if I can build up to the miserable temperatures. But not all at once.

When I passed by the thermostat and saw that it was a 78° in the house, I took it upon myself to switch the HVAC over to "cool".

It was wonderful to have such control! Our A/C broke last summer, and I had to suffer through several very melty days until we could get the unit replaced (hey, we made the thing last for nearly 25 years, and they're not supposed to last but 10). At the same time, I worked at the local Army post with three menopausal women by day who kept the office A/C set to "arctic".

Sister! Don't even worry about it, I was living in the central AC splendor last week and didn't feel one iota of shame for it!

This damn house heats up like an oven and retains heat like a barbeque. Sheesh.

Yeah, its only April but around these parts, 80 is HOT.

*waves*

Let tejas know, we will have A/C when the kidnapping commences. Wouldn't want her to suffer, yanno.

And out here in Ecotopia, I'm wondering if the temperature is ever going to get up to 60.

I've been having hot flashes for over 5 years now . . . I'm not sure whether that's a contributing factor to global warming of not. But the damned things never hit when I'm cold. Oh, no.
