I caved.  All right?

I caved.  I know it's only April.

*blisses out in A/C splendor*

Could easily be a hot flash. I'd be miserable if I wasn't sitting under a ceiling fan right now.

I'm sitting here, under the ceiling fan, at my computer and watching NCIS on tv. :-) (The episode is "Bait" which has Michael Welch, aka, Mini-Jack in it. He's a very good actor.)

This time of year, the temps at night drop to the low 70s or high 60s, so it helps. Plus, the people above me run their a/c a *lot*. That helps cool my 'roof'.

My ceiling fans run almost all the time.

I *always* have a window open. I can't tolerate the not having a fresh influx of air.

I close the window when it gets below 30. That happens... almost never. :-) I'd rather have the 100 degree air plopping on the floor than not.

It doesn't bother me inside big buildings. Just in this tiny little apartment.

I've found the difference is negligible. It may have to do with the window of choice being at the end of my galley kitchen. It's no worse than if I cooked a roast all day in the oven, only without running the oven. :-)

I'm thinking of roast tomorrow, too. Probably in the oven, though. I don't feel like clearing the counter enough to use the crock pot. :-)

I love my crockpot. They're dirt simple to use. They're cheap, though. Kroger sells 'em for $15 or so.

Good luck finding a cord. :-) I ended up having to buy a new one because the cord got eaten by a move. :-)

Ah! I see what you mean. Finding the cord *there* rather than finding a *new* cord. Mine was apparently eaten by the moving van along with a bunch of other stuff in the same box. :-)

Suggestion. Go look for something else.

When you trip over the bag of cords, go put the whole bag in the crock pot.

Go back and start looking for the crock pot cord.

You're sure to then find what you were originally looking for.

Sadly, at the end of all this, you won't remember where the crock pot is.

But at least the cord will be with it.

Though, I bet it's cooler outside now than it is inside.
